Some BadMummahFluffah art I made -- RQ

For a time there was an author on Fluffybooru called BadMummahFluffah. Anyway, he wrote stories with some excellent top-tier abuse. He popularized the idea of all-Hellgremlin universes where fluffies tended to be evil monsters with only a few exceptions. His fluffies also had caustic acidic poop which they could use against humans at will. This universe didn’t make sense but that was OK because the abuse was just sooo good. However he didn’t take criticism well and eventually ragequit the 'booru or got banned or something (I don’t remember what all the drama was).

So when he deleted all his stories that sucked because I had made several fanarts about his stories which then made no sense without the stories to link back to. :frowning: So here’s those pictures with some explanations of what’s going on.

The first time BMF threatened to leave Fluffybooru I made this fanart of “Turtle” because I wanted to see her story continued. Turtle was an abused fluffy who even needed a voice amplifier because an abuser took her vocal cords out. Originally her name was “Skidmark” and the shelter renamed her to “Turtle.” I forget how all the abuse happened. So this is her asking BMF to keep writing.

One of BadMummahFluffah’s best series was about a bitch named Miss Fuqua who not only pillowed fluffies but advocated for others to do it to their fluffies too, saying “Pillowfluffs are Happy Fluffs!” Of course, she was hurting and abusing fluffies while doing so, and her obliviousness to how much she hurt her own fluffy (Marshy, I believe-- or was it Transcendenz who made Marshy?) was made for an entertaining mix of abuse and rage at this stupid, wicked woman.

I spotted this sign outside a building and took a photo to make some art of it as a pillow-fluffy supply center where people would get fluffies pillowed and/or buy pillowfluff accessories. But the “fuqua” name makes no dang sense now because the story it’s based on is gone. :frowning:

One of BadMummahFluffah’s other story series was about an independent backyard fluffy veterinarian surgeon who did various abusive surgeries in his basement for money. Later on in Turtle’s life, someone who was sad over Turtle’s plight paid to have her legs, voice, ass, and tail restored with part from a donor fluffy with the same colors who had been turned in to the shelter named Precious. Precious wasn’t a bad fluffy but she wasn’t a good fluffy either. She was left to suffer in the surgeon’s basement afterwards while Turtle got to be happy with her own foals and a new home.

Before the surgery, Turtle also had been allowed to have babies because she was such a nice fluffy (and in BMF’s world that is VERY rare). One of her foals hated its own mother because Turtle had no legs and an ugly voice (see what I mean about BMF’s fluffies being inherently evil?). In my art, I was sure to give that piece of shit blue foal a sorry-stickin’ for disrespecting his good mummah!

Posts like these are some of my favorites.
I love learning about the parts of the fandom that I missed out on.
And creators appreciating the work of other creators, building on their stories/characters, and expending the collabotrative universe…that’s the stuff I really like.

So that’s where that came from! Thanks for posting this.

I always loved the way your art conveys the desperation and misery in a fluffies eyes

As far as I can remember badmuhmmafluffah is a she and she left the booru because Aichi and some others were total dicks to her. She moved all her stories right here, http://badmummahfluffah.blogspot.com/ and this is where I was reading them because she had already left the booru when I got there. The blog seems to closed and invite only now. If anybody knows how to get in touch maybe you can talk her into reposting here or reopening her blog again. Her stories are important to the lore because some parts of them have been incorporated into the lunatic assylum known as the Jellyverse. If I remember correctly some subtle references are made in the Red Barron story started by the Gr1m_1 and as forked/extended by the Great White Nope.

Good times. And remember kids, Pillowfluffs are happy fluffs.

BMF’s story, “Pillowfuffs are happy fluffs” wasn’t just a good story. It really solidified so many things about why people pillowed fluffies and how they justified it. It was a really crazy story. I remember reading all of it. BMF had the entire thing posted on their blog at one point, but I can’t find it sadly.

The drama that led to her banning started with multiple things, but if I remember there was a group of people who really didn’t like BMF and constantly called him a pedophile until he wrote a story or something. It was just so much crazy drama it was hard to take it all in.

I guess it all really has been done before. Still gonna introduce super poopies sometime.

Back then on the Booru people could post as anonymous. The combo of some people bring anonymous and other people post your g with a username, plus a percentage of fluffy abuse fans being actual bullies or psychopaths made the format ripe for bullying. There was a person, probably a single person, who hated BMF for some reason and constantly tainted and shit posted her (I always though BMF was a dude for some reason but she said she was female back in 2015-2016 before people just chose their gender).

Anyway, I forget the exact details but I think someone taunted her into writing something about a rabbit, and saying the rabbit had the IQ of a toddler, followed by some abuse (or it might have been a fluffy with the IQ of a toddler). I think Aichi then banned her for either real animal abuse or the comparison to child abuse. I might not be 100% accurate in my memory.

Anyway, this same anon who bullied her started on me, posting multiple multiple replies pretending to be numerous anons and I temporarily rage quit about it. Then after a particularly great magic mushroom trip I came back. One of the mods, possibly menthol, checked the IPs of the anons and found out it was all a single dude. What an ass monkey.

So BMF wrote more stories on her blog for a while. I can’t remember if she took down all her Booru stories prior to being banned or not. The blog is invitation only🥲. I dunno if I can email her or not but I’ll see if I can and if she might like to post here

Good riddance. Hellgremlins ruined the community

I actually remember that! Whenever I read one of your stories there was one anon who always attacked you for whatever reason and would attack anyone defending you in the comments as well. I thought it was really weird, because he always mentioned you by name even in other stories.

Yeah the top-down bullying from Aichi and a few others that he empowered (I won’t name them) made the environment very toxic, spreading from person to person, until at the end everyone was posting anonymously everywhere.

Bit of a digression from fluffies, but in the last few years I’ve found myself feeling more uncomfortable about “edgy” content of different sorts because of exposes about a number of people I’d admired who were into that kind of thing being genuinely nasty people in their personal lives: Patricia Highsmith, Warren Ellis, Marilyn Manson…

Separating art from the artist can be a challenge. Orson Scott Card and JK Rowling also come to mind as more contemporary examples. And if you want a truly ‘problematic’ author, I’ll be HP Lovecraft is pretty well beloved here, despite him being just awful in almost every way.

I think it comes down to each individual to determine how much of the artist they see in the art. I’m not going to tell somebody not to like the Harry Potter series because Rowling ended up a TERF, just like I’d appreciate them for not telling me to stop liking Lovecraft’s stories, despite his overt racism and antisemitism.

I do think that we as a community have tried to keep conversations civil, even where we disagree. I appreciate that. I’ve not seen any real bullying since I joined, and even the heated conversations don’t devolve in to real cruelty.

I have to agree, I was pleasantly surprised with the lack of arseholes when I found and joined the community, considering some of the content that is posted here I kind of expected there to be constant arguing and bullying, I joined probably just before the booro went down, I was half way through reading about the fall of Cleveland and was hooked! I had noticed some of the comments there where a bit mean but once that went and I joined here it seems to be nothing but encouraging and I absolutely love that!!

I wonder if that’s the same person who tried to bully me? I remember there was someone who made multiple hateful anon comments on a post of mine, but by that point we had IP checks so I could see right away it was just one dude and that just made it kind of adorable. I even drew a comic about him.

HP Lovecraft reminds me of this meme (i know this is a serious topic, but what is life if we can’t have fun?)

Creepy part is that’s actually not inaccurate. Enormous and Terrifying on Tumblr

“To sum it up, the horror is not seeing Mr. Squid and going mad, the horror is that once you understand that Mr. Squid exists and what he means, things that LOOK like madness to “civilization” make more sense. The various (incredibly hatefully depicted by the shockingly-racist-for-his-time HPL) cults and tribes that worship Mr. Squid have a more accurate model of reality than either Christians or scientists, and that’s the horror.”
