Rats make an adequate substitute for babbehs, right?

It’s all fun and gross until she goes full Willard.

Seems more bittersweet than outright sad. But great concept regardless.

That one getting licked looks way into it.

why fowebah babbehs tho?

It’s very happy to be getting groomed. Rats are actually very clean animals, given the chance. (Do not handle wild rats.)

Because they never ‘grow up’. The adult rats stay foal-sized and squeak like a chirpie, so she has the forever.

What’s her take on her “forever babies” having babies?

Weird, but… more babbehs! I think they rotate on a semi-regular basis, alley rats don’t have much better longevity than fluffies.

Same, my rats died back to back to back it was getting too much.

My last one went two days after his brother, I’m pretty sure it was grief.

Can fluffies canonically spread bubonic plague?

I dunno what Hivecanon says, but at the very least they could transfer infected fleas, so they’d be a vector.
