Submission for theme week (Chip_Eater)

All mushrooms here derived from the blue mushroom also known as bloobicus gloobicus. The glowing green mushrooms appeared sooner than the red, allowing flurries to learn about them before the larger threat unfolded. The green mushrooms are a “Safe” food supply not harming the fluffys who eat it, sometimes even creating an attracting glow! The mushrooms grow rather large allowing fluffys to hide and create nests under. The main issue for the fluffies is that when they have offspring after ingesting and consuming spores from these mushrooms is that almost all offspring are born luminous, at first this may seem nice but an even higher percent of population born here has fungus growing from them which after birth does not continue growing but often makes it hard for fluffys to do things often leading to death. It is notable that the spores released from the mushrooms are also released from contaminated offspring. The main reason fluffys born like this survive is because the glow they produce is attracting to other fluffys.

The blue mushrooms were in the world before fluffys and have not adapted in any way, they create a safe space for fluffys and are completely edible. Most wild fluffys know of these but can get them mixed up with the green mushrooms causing disaster for them and there herd.

The red mushrooms… no living being should and would approach these. It is uncommon for creatures other than fluffys to be affected by them but it is highly recommended to stay away. Scientists are yet to understand how fluffys die so often near them and how they possibly turn to stone as the mushrooms found have never once been eaten.
