Subspecies I came up with to justify Lobo’s existence [By MaggotMarrow]

Toothy Fluffies

Toothy fluffs are a breed of fluffy that, despite being able to be bred from normal fluffies, are completely seperate in intended purposes and looks.

Toothies usually have behaviours similar to toughies or cannibals, being that they usually are carnivorous and are much stronger than the standard breed. They can grow about half a head taller than normal fluffies, and are more resistant to pain. Foals normally act like normal fluffy foals, being able to be sold in cans or petshops officially, though the latter isn’t recommended.

Toothy fluffs are characterised by their white fur, dark manes, black patterns around the face, entirely white eyes (occasionally with very blurry pupils) and the signature protruding teeth, usually coming in different lengths and shapes. These are all to give them more menacing appearances, based slightly on zombies and metal band performers. Possibly, the design choice was made to reach out the existence of these creatures to less cutesy audiences.

Originally, toothies were bred to be guard dog-like fluffies, having slightly more intelligence, though not too much more. However, when fluffies went from being a mass produced pet craze to being more or less vermin in the eyes of most of the public, they went down the route of becoming just a rarer, more violent subspecies that any expecting mother could birth. This leads to rejection from mothers in most cases of a toothy birth, resentment being caused by fear, though on the occasion a more caring mother will see no difference between a brightly coloured innocent foal from a weird featured, slightly larger one. Generally, toothy fluffies are seen as monsters by other fluffies, most of the time leading to social rejection, though sometimes the less scared ones find that a toothy bodyguard is their best bet of survival.

Typically, carnivorous or even cannibalistic urges become present a week into life, but depending on how the foal is raised or the mental processes they go through, they may hold back on these urges or be taught to never give into them. They progressively become more violent as they age, which can either be directed towards specific individuals, or generally towards anyone. Under stricter care, they can be taught to restrain violence, though it is unlikely it’ll stick. There are many cases of domesticated toothies harming house members, or ones bought for abuse or for less glamorous work like in mills most likely leave handlers with numerous bleeding bite marks and bruises.

Overall, toothy fluffs are yet another species of fluffies roaming the streets as vermin, but perhaps these types should be handled with slightly more care.

Wouldn’t want to own a fluffy you needed to wash toddler blood off of, would you?
