Khan is gently woken up by the sweet sound of his human momma’s voice whispering in his ear
“Hee hee. Kahn.Wake up … my sweet little baby.
Khan’s eyes slowly open
“Yawn”
“Gud mowning mumma”
Khan stretches like a cat then smacks his lips
Terry looks extremely happy
“Khan…. Do you know what today is?”
Khan pauses a moment to try and guess what today could be
Then his face lit up with happiness as he figured it out
“Staw-twek mawothon!?”
“You …know it!”
Khan had waited all month for this
The one day a month where he got to spend all day with mama
The day would start with a sunny side up egg for breakfast
Then an all day star-trek marathon with homemade theatre style popcorn complete with special salt
Then for lunch they would have grocery store frozen pizza
And finally the original movie trilogy with a sketti dinner
Loved watching Star-trek with Terry
Sometimes he even understood what was happening on screen
But even during the times he couldn’t follow the plot (which was most of the time)
He still enjoyed it
Because He loved every second he got to spend with mama
