That Fluffy artist dilema! (By Caldo) [UPDATED]

I’m having it right now!!

I love both of this styles, I can’t decide!

I think what I wanna do is to make a head canon where, Eye size and hoof size varies, cause I do like the bean-like body with no neck… a lot of people pointed out that the right column was better cause the left one is more cartoonish, I honestly like the cartoonish look, the range of emotions you can get on a cartoon are more exaggerated than in realism… and still feel grounded, so that’s what I’m trying to acomplish with that… (also that 4th fluffy style… is something I always wanted to try… I won’t do that style tho, hehe)

There’s a lot you can accomplish with a big range of sizes and shapes when it comes to eyes.

Plus it would be interesting to see the interaction between a slender legged and a thick legged fluffy… I’m not good with names… there’s prolly a better way to name a fluffy depending on their legs “Fuzzy hoof” and “Sharpy hoof” maybe? something that the fluffies would say to tell them apart, I’ll see what I can come up with.

The second row, right column… Im not sure what that face is saying to me, but it’s saying something…

Like when a kid has a secret and they want to tell you but take pride in having the secret so they only reference that they have said secret and dont reveal it.

The right column’s fluffies are quite more refined in my personal opinion.

left column is cuter, but the right column conveys what fluffy ponies are better.

The proportions of the right column are much more realistic than the left, which is more cartoony. I personally prefer the right column, as I use the same proportions on my own fluffy drawings.

They’re both wonderful styles.
If I must choose, I choose the style on the left.
But I would accept either.

Def right column. Left column looks like if Disney made a fluffy cartoon (which is a compliment to your ability), but the right column is far more fitting for fluffies that are meant to be (semi-) intelligent created organic toys. Left side is too cartoony, they would never work as pets. Right side is perfect :+1:

Definitely like the right column more but I will be happy with whatever you choose. I just love your works!

Leaning more to the right personally. Maybe you could try combining your favourite elements from both into 1? Or do one style depending on the piece? I don’t know.

I think I’ll do that… but also add a bit of a headcanon, moving some elements from both columns… but leaning towards the right column, since it’s what people seem to like the most.

both are acceptable. If you can’t decide then remember all fluffies are unique. So both art styles can be in the same place.

I have to say I’m really impressed with your skill in drawing. I absolutely can’t wait to see the stories you produce.

I like the style on the right column in the first image where their cheeks are bigger and have rounder heads.

Oh gosh! thank you, hopefully I can come up with more ideas!

If you have trouble with ideas, there are some phenomenal writers around here. I can recommend a few that are very easy to get along with and they would likely be overjoyed just to see their stories brought to life. Especially by an excellent artist like yourself.

Oof! Iunno… I mean that sounds awesome, I bet they can build a better story than me, but I don’t trust myself, I fear like I’m gonna say “I’m gonna make a comic out of your story” and never get to it QwQ

I’m not currently logged in atm, but I think I am on the Server, the name I use in the server is “Koop”

Oh my goodness!!! Both styles are so adorable!!! Y’know honestly I would stick with both styles as they are both just too adorable >3<

For my drawings I draw thicker legs for the earthies and thin legs for unicorns and pegasus lol

I had not noticed that, but I like the distinction
