Reminds me of my late Xena. Found her by the side of the road and thought she was a black kitten, but after I washed the oil dirt off her she was pale gray and white.

I think there should be an advertisement for laundry detergent with the slogan: “Our detergent can remove any dirt, even from an animal’s body.”
Yeah, Pear’s Soap did that in the 19th century. The ads are not remembered fondly.
