It’s amazing to see them actually thinking about how 1 thing can worth more than other, knowing fluffies I would suppose they would gladly give an apple for a berry

Assuming all of FallenAngel’s comics are on the same universe, it makes sense they are rapidly evolving for intelligence.
On another topic, makes sense a confirmed non-poisonous berry is worth quite a bit as a luxury treat.
