I’ve had this drawing sitting in my sketchbook for months and because I’m not patient enough, it never got a conclusive ending. So I’m asking you guys … what would YOU do in this situation?
I’ll probably make a follow up to this once I can. I tried doing it tonight but I am having a WICKED migraine.
I’m unsure what’s going on. Is Penny trying to hog both treats, or trying to keep Pumpkin from taking both treats? Did they both try to take the same treat cuz it was the closest and have a classic “no, I was gonna take that one, yours is the other one!” quibble? Cuz these factors will affect my response.
I see. Chiding and withholding her treat until Pumpkin’s had his then, hold her away from him with my hand until he’s done eating. She can tantrum and cry but no treat for her until he’s done eating and she’s done being fussy! Also Pumpkin gets cuddled once she does get her treat and she gets no cuddles.
So, a light foal-appropriate punishment but one that’s likely gonna upset her a ton anyway because she is a baby and it’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to her. Pure Parental Disappointment.
Hugbox option: only Pumpkin gets his treat (one treat) Penny gets no treat and spends some time in the sorry corner.
Abuse option 1: give Pumpkin both treats and hang Penny by her back legs on the porch outside in the rain. If there is no rain, hang her like a loofa in the shower and crank the water to maximum cold.
Abuse option 2: both fluffies get no treat and you tell Pumpkin he can’t have his treat either because of Penny’s bad behavior, in fact they are never ever going to get treats again because Penny can’t behave herself. Turn Pumpkin against Penny so that he starts to give her sorry hoovsies and beats her up.
Abuse option 3: donate Penny back to the fluffmart as snake food or some large reptile live prey and make Pumpkin watch her get eaten alive telling him he will end up like Penny if he is a bad fluffy.
