Ideas for roles of Fluffies in Japanese society:
Hugbox: Fluffies (“furafi”) are cute and inexpensive pets acquired from vending machines; there might also be an island overrun by well-cared-for fluffies.
Abusebox: same as above, but canned foals are also sold at batting cages and golf driving ranges at a dozen for 1000 yen so that frustrated salarymen can vent their aggression.
Lunchbox: Foal meat (“fo-ru”) makes for cheap yakiniku.
Neutralbox: Government of Japan bans fluffies as an invasive species.
Weirdbox: Jellenheimers exposed to radiation from Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station become full-blown kaiju, terrorize the entire Pacific Rim.

Fluffy cafes would also be a huge thing there. Like cat cafes.
Just imagine a bunch of loafing lounging fluffies laying around on a fluffy safe cat tree.

Also you could have singing dancing Fluffy Idols of the pop or alt variety, either mainstream or underground. (Imagine BiS but with fluffies.) And yes, fluffy idols could absolutely be abusebox.
