Unusual Non-Newtonian Fluffies

Was at work today and the subject of non-newtonian fluids came up. They are a bit unusual in that as you are rough with it, they become super hard, and if you are gentle acts like a regular liquid.

So what if you had a bowl of a non newtonian fluid, and gently set a foal on it? It would chirp and cheep, start to sink, struggle and go under, beginning to drown. So I then imaginied the mummah running over to grab the foal, and it’s tough, she stomps and tries to free her foal but her strength is making the fluid solid to her blows, while liquidy to the sinking foal. Unusual. Thoughts?

I misinterpreted the title and imagined a fluffy made of non-Newtonian fluid.

Like, a flubber fluffy or something.

Imagine, if you will. “Teaching” them how it works. And then leaving the fluffy on top of the fluid. They’d have to constantly give it stomps in order not to sink.

No. They just change properties when force is applied to them, be it becoming harder or softer.

So, a vertical tube of NN Fluid standing in a pool of water. Fluffy cannot step off of it or they drown. But they must keep moving to avoid sinking. No win situation!!
