I have multiple projects in the works, but I haven’t finished any of them and I keep adding more because I just love making work for myself. Fact is it disgusts me so I’m gonna hunker down and finish what I set out to finish. See you in a week or so.
good luck, pal
Good luck! Remember to take breaks and don’t overstress yourself if you can’t meet your goals. And also, if you got everything finished all at once, you’d probably be bored because you’d have nothing to do. So please don’t overwork yourself! c:
You’re not getting paid to do this. You’re not on the clock. Work on what strikes your fancy, and at your own pace. The community can wait.
Don’t ever feel like you have a deadline or need to meet a quota for the FC. The whole point of it is to be used for stress-relief and having fun with peeps on the site.
Don’t feel like you “have” to do something. If you’re not feeling it, then put the pencil down for a few days/weeks and just comment and chat with us here. ![]()
Channel that disgust. The best art is made when unhappy, also never force it.
This is weirdly true.
But don’t fall into the trap of making yourself miserable so you can “make art”. Like @L.AVaught said, never force it.
Oh yikes, I’m the same way. I have at least 7 different comics started along with several illustrations that need finishing and yet I keep starting new things
Sometimes we let our To-Do list get out of hand but we all support you!
If that’s what you feel is best, then it could be useful to practice discipline and focus on finishing things. It’s a useful skill to learn in general. But as others said, this is a fun hobby, not an obligation. Well, unless you’re being commissioned.
Once a hobby becomes a chore, it’s a good idea to step back from it. I’d think of fandom as a good opportunity for practice and learning, where professionalism is rarely expected. Not doing things perfectly is part of the learning process, not a failure, and even professionals are still learning.
that being said, yeah, I have a shit ton of projects that are just sitting unfinished. Some are scribbles, some are a few lines of story, some are done save for me needing to change the color of text. But they’re still just sitting there while I start other shit.
So, you’re not the only doing that, if that helps
Thank you.
It really does.

After some days of thinking, I’ve come to the conclusion that I think to much. I’ll be coming out with something tonight.
