Thank you for your compliment.
Spoiler for the Groomer series as itās impolite to discuss another series on a different authorās comments thread in my opinion.
Your Groomer series is very good and I have little to offer on such short self contained episodes - youāre right, in that Iām better at thinking about continuity and other technical aspects.
Steve seems a normal, well adjusted person, who is professional about his duties but is extremely discreet (a good thing as fluffies generally have no filter, much like small children) and exercises his discretion in the best interests of his client, not their owners; basically the epitome of a Good Guy⢠but for fluffies.
Is it wrong for me to think of Steve as being almost flamboyantly gay, though?
(Especially in this day and ageā¦)

I really love Veve, sheās clearly a very smart fluffy, and humble due to partly her timid nature, and also how she was treated.
I think Foxglove would like her and would probably let her help feed the chickens c:

I was not expecting to see my name among everyone else! It was a delightful surprise!
Millieās character development has been a total roller coaster ride and man has it been so much fun!! Her restraint and self control in regards to hurting Uphie has been keeping me locked in, wondering what she and her family/friends will do next!
I hope Veve will stay strong for whatever happens. She seems really mature for a foal!

Havenāt caught up to date with this story as of late, but Iām impressed Milie or her friend/family member havenāt kill or get rid of Uphie and her foals yet. At this point it feel like sheās trapped in sunken cost fallacy territory.

So the poll was hard to answer; I like Uphie in the sense that I love how consistently awful she is. I always know what to expect, plus the shift in character perspective has turned her into an unwitting antagonist at times. Mostly though, sheās just a pathetic narcissist whoās too stupid to realize her choices have consequences.
I love Veve with all my heart, maybe more than any fluffy Iāve ever read about. Sheās such a cute bean thats finally finding her voice and confidence after being mistreated her whole life, and the fact that sheās brave enough and willing to stop Millie from harming Uphie cemented that spot.
Thereās something to be said about her complexity as a character. Some authors make fluffies a little too complex; they often forego what makes a fluffy a traditional, true-blue fluffy. Innocence and undying trust in humans, you work these into your characters very effectively and itās one of my favourite parts of any Uphie chapter.
