When I read/think of them I think of bird chirping. Is that what it would sound like? Or are there mammals that Cherp?
The common answer from a long long time ago was like rodents like mice and hamsters. People nowadays seem to think they chirp like birds and make other bird sounds which idk isnāt my preferred headcanon.
The justification being that theyāre genetic chimeras of a hodgepodge of different animals. Some people put birds in that hodgepodge to explain their speech and (sometimes) feathery wings.
Somebody answered me on Reddit that probably would be like some puppies or rodent sound.
Itās really funny imagining them actually saying āchirpā, the word not the sound
Iāve always thought of baby chicks.
I donāt care if it makes more biological sense. Rodents squeak. Fluffies cheep like chickens.
I imagine they sound like Morgan Freeman
In my head they sound sort of like baby guinea pigs, except instead of the whistle/āwheekā a guinea pigās noises start with, foal noises start with the āpuh,ā so it sounds like the babies are saying āpeepā
Example of the guinea pig cadence
Oh shit a JoJo reference
I go for the rodent/puppy sound.
Never was a fan of the bird idea, even if they have bird dna for the wings/feathers, in my eyes the mamals dna used are more prevalent.
But in the end of the day the golden rule always prevail āIt all depends on your headcanonā
I think they sound like a fusion of mice and birds
I always thought of it as a literal high pitched voice saying āpeep!ā and āchirp!ā. Itās so much dumber and more uncanny like that.
Also makes me think of Churpos, where itās just a normal male voice saying āchirp.ā in a monotone.
My brain unironically does this whenever I read a fluffy story lmao. Spoken chirps and peeps.
My goofy headcanon aside. something in between a guinea pig, baby ferret, rabbit, and a mouse Iād say.
text to speech āCHIRPā
Damn, I wish Micron was still around. He was the King of Weirdbox.
It makes most sense to me too because of that. When I see āchirpā/ācheepā/āpeepā, I think of baby birds.
Same here! XD
