What do I do if I get user-related issues?

Okay, question. Or, rather, questions.
What happens if conflicts happen with folks on the site? How do I ask for help? What are the rules for harassment, and at what point is something qualified as harassment?
This isn’t a massive site, and I feel like people generally are not looking to cause problems for each other here, and I’m not even used to being included in drama, but I also don’t particularly know what to do if I did get into that sort of situation.
This information is probably somewhere around here… I still wanted to ask though.

As soon as your opponent said something extremely personal (from death threats to calling your mom a ******** *** ******) you flag a post in question, and our task force takes it from there

Ah, I at least knew that Virgil was a mod/someone in charge. I wasn’t sure about Mr_Owl though.

I don’t really know about the Owl but he’s able to change my post so I suppose he is :v

1v1 is also an option if you feel confident (just make it quick, or take it to personal messages. (Learning some curse poems is advised for that one))

He’s got da shield by his username, so he’s… like… a sir of the site status. xD

I’m not too bad at communication via writing, and for the most part I think I’m pretty good at reasoning. I prefer diplomacy over throwin’ hands, so if I can settle it on my own, I probably will. :hugs:

Sorry that I saw this conversation late, but it looks as though @Mr_Owl has all the information correct.
Is this just a general concern, or is someone actually being a problem?

Other options are to check the list of moderators or you can summon the entire team with a single @ staff mention (just remove the space betweeen the @ and staff. I’m trying not to ping everyone if it’s not needed)

Diplomacy is a war too, especially if it is just text

I think I’m probably okay in the thing that prompted me to wanna ask. It was a sort of situation where it’s the context that makes it a problem or not.
I’m on the autism spectrum (late diagnosed, but as someone who grew up with a known-autistic sibling, I tend to be defensive against people who make fun of and/or insult autism), and it’s not too difficult for me to be put on edge.

Some people make offensive jokes around here, it’s best to not take them personally.
80% percent of the time, they don’t fully mean it.

Well, just so that it’s said, we have an awful lot of people here that are somewhere on the spectrum
and a lot of these same people will make jokes about autism.
So, many of us are laughing at ourselves,
but not everyone is in on the joke.

Yup, that’s kinda it, I sometimes am just gonna have to give folks a poke sometimes and ask.
There’s a big difference between someone on the spectrum who doesn’t take themselves too seriously and is simply trying to fuck around, rather than someone who is actually a dick. Autistic people can be dicks too, there’s a reason why it’s called autism spectrum (it encompasses so many types of folks, an autistic person is never guaranteed to be a certain way), I just mean context matters.
