I had a One by wacom (the cheapest) for about 5 years and it was good
now I bought a huion kamvas 13 and it’s pretty good, a little expensive, but worth it
Didn’t Microsoft retire paint? Man, gonna have to find an XP machine!
You can still download it off some software sites but double artist points if you’re doing it on Windows XP
same here
I have a One by wacom, small
and it has been 5 years and still solid as fuck xD
the pen is even without the buttons, but still work
all work I did and posted on FC from March till last month was made on it
I recently got a small Wacom Intuos with Bluetooth, it works quite well for me, I plan to get a better one later, I would recommend that you do the same, Wacoms are generally good and efficient for beginners.
I use a Intuos and still have the same tablet for 5 years and i use for draw and play Osu.
In my experience, cheaper tablets work just as well, but some break easily. if you have no other option, XP tablets are fine, but GOD. if you can afford something else, go for it. FLEXIBLE TABLETS SUCK. SMALL TABLETS ALSO SUCK. if your tablet has a replaceable USB cord, check that first if your tablet starts acting up. I had a wacom intuos and, ten times outta nine, the USB cord was the reason it was fucky. sometimes tablets come with extra nibs in a little compartment! also, if you can afford it, intuos is delightful. the one redeeming quuality of XP over Intuos: XP pens are easy as fuck to replace, INTUOS PENS ARE NOT
Okay from the replies and looking at it myself some, I’m thinking about getting a huion kamvas 13 (okay with the price since I plan to keep it for a long time). Any warnings or reasons to reconsider my decision that I should take into account?
I’ve none aside from getting it from a good place with a good return policy if possible. Have fun, look forward to seeing what you do with it plus what your experience is.
There’s a lot of good art programs/apps out there. You got one or two lined up?
I was gonna try MediBang first but if that isn’t to my liking I’ll just kind of browse around reputable free services until I click with one.
Chikahiro is right make sure there is a good return policy, test the hell out of it when you get it make sure there is no line wobble skipping blobbing or pointer drift
Yup! Never get a Wacom tablet, the brand itself is also known for scamming content creators.
That’s a new one what did they do now
i got a wacom
It might not have been Wacom, I’m not entirely sure however, a while back there was a (quite popular) brand trending on Twitter for scamming. I wish I would have bookmarked it-
I got one, too. I really need to use it more.
Krita is pretty damn good, as for drawing I exclusively use my iPad and apple pen now since it’s so nice and convenient, before that I used a Huion tablet, they’re nice, sturdy and lasts a good while so my vote is also on Huion c:
