What if you could recreate the fluffy community? Mookiedookie

Literally happened before. Five years ago. We made this place. Turned out fine.

Just seems entirely useless.

Ah, man, I haven’t heard “fluffy circus” in a while.

Truly the greatest creation of our very own Rick Sanchez.
What a wad.

So long as fluffies around the world have hope in their hearts, and poop in their intestines, there will be someone to guide the community to a place that…doesn’t completely hate them…yet

I would implement a question box you have to tick every time to enter the sites that says ‘Nu am mawe’

Im probably the last currently active troll in the community a part of the community which has long died out. Truth is there is no change I can really bring. The community largely doesnt want to troll and me becoming owner and putting on our front page “mass raid 7pm VR chat” isnt going to change who uses this website. The small tweaks I would make are not really worth disusing nor arguing because even if we changed what I wanted, the vibe of this place wouldn’t really change.

Just out of curiosity, do any of the moderators know how much bandwidth is used per month, on average, for data going back and forth? And how much data is stored?

Fyi, im a web dev.

Id force anybody who comes up with a new oc to execute the old one in the most horrible way, no matter the emotional connection or story level involvements.

I was thinking the exact same thing. There’s already so few people making fluffy content no need to make it even harder to find or create even more schisms. And also what would the point be when there’s already this place and a Reddit that sucks nuts?

I’ve said before that this is the only fandom that tries to eat itself every couple of months.

I blame poor quality control, which I tried to fix :martini:

A lot of us are trollish. We’re just not all hardcore trolls.

I like the way we have now. I’d want a similar site but with smaller QoL things, like:

  1. Pagination. Optional since some prefer infinite scrolling. Because infinite scrolling is cool, sure, but then you try to look for a specific thing and have to scroll down 200+ posts loading 20 at a time and if you press on anything that catches your eye you’re back to those first 20 and have to scroll down again and god just imagine someone trying to check what our first “image posting” pics were. It’s a pain in the ass. If I try to look for things that need tagging I have to do an entire category or tag in one go.
  2. The ability to search for more than one tag at once, and to exclude tags from your search. We do have the search function for that sure but that pops up everything as text links, which is … not too easy to work with in a place that has 90% pictures.
  3. Something that automatically sets your name would be nice. Could be a tag or a separate box with your name filled in, I dunno. Something so we lose the issue of people forgetting to put their name.
  4. The ability to delete your own posts, or at least a “say you want this deleted” button. It feels like we have so many posts that just say “this topic has been deleted” because someone messed up posting an image and made a second post cuz they can’t edit their stuff yet. There’s multiple people who wiped their entire galleries by changing the art to “404 error” type images. Right now the only way is to ask a mod directly, and most people do that publicly cuz they don’t know who’s a mod which gets an uncomfortable amount of eyes on them … Similarly, maybe a way to let us change our name would be nice…

But other than those little things, the site’s good as-is. Really I just want pagination. Please. Please let me put in “page/45” in the url instead of scrolling down 900 images to look for something.

Also yeah don’t make a subreddit. Redditors are wholly unpleasant and we are a taboo community, don’t open yourself up to the torment they would inflict. If you get the wrong eyes on you they’ll treat you like a hellgremlin smarty that’s just shat in their mailbox.

This is the best answer ever

You’ve hit on everything I wanted to find solutions for, but never did.

The addition of usernames to the title is a holdover from when I got the subreddit to practice this act, and that actually made the Reddit search engine halfway useful.

Unfortunately the Discourse search engine is less impressive than Reddit’s
(yeah, somehow that’s possible)

As for deleting posts, Discourse takes an all-or-nothing approach to account deletion.
It will literally forget you ever existed, under the default settings.
And of all the times I’ve deleted accounts at someone’s request, 8 times out of 10 I wind up having to reinstate them a week later.
(there are also other reasons I can’t get into, publicly speaking)
So you can blame me for the lack of instant deletion.
I put a stop to people dipping out over a little argument.
But the process definitely isn’t perfect.

I’m convinced that these things are all possible.
But it’s going to require the Right kind of person
And that ain’t me
