and I try to listen to their gripes
Tonight some people chose to kick up a fuss about the whole idea of anthro fluffies, so I think it’s time we have a talk about this.
What makes an anthro fluffy an anthro fluffy?
What separates them from the average furry?

Again I ask you what makes a fluffy a fluffy when it is all head cannon what makes one divergence more acceptable than an other divergence when is it to far

Yep, that’s what we’re deciding, here.
What canon has to be enforced, and what is allowed to be played with.

C’mon Mcgee, you’ve had a blast drawing absolutely anything you wanted to and sticking the “fluffy” name on them.
Clearly you thought that there needed to be hard-and-fast rules for all things fluffy.
I’m ready to hear them.

So far, despite all the headcanons, everyone in an agreement that a fluffy is a fluffy biotoy that talks and looks kinda like a small horse. Naturally some of those traits should be applied to anthros as well

As best as I can defend my non-human characters, they all have technicolor fluff-schemes, which isn’t really common in antbro-horses.

I’ve been here for a short time and I don’t know if I should comment on it … But I suppose that the only thing that should differentiate anthros from an average fluffy is their anthropomorphic form, at least the few that I have drawn still have the intellectual and behavioral characteristics of a fluffy, only the lifestyle (since not everyone is supposed to have access to them) and the reproductive habits should be different in anthros.

People have incredibly strong feelings about anthro fluffs, and this is the time and place to share them.

What rules do you want?

They are bio toys they are not animals they are preprogrammed while they maybe smart they do not think in terms of survival since they where never meant to live independently of humans

There is leeway and there is a free for all to anything and everything being dismissed as head cannon

Also, not all anthrofluffs use fluffspeak…for instance, Arisenleaf’s characters all talk normally.

Not all anthrofluffs are uber-fluffy, either; for instance, Pumpiikin and swiftbitches, both of whom are next-level artists.

I will not say that you are wrong. I think there is a lot of truth in what you say. I can constrain my own stories to your limits.
But I am not comfortable constraining all writers and all artists in the community to those limits.

Mostly yes I can not think of everything but everyone knows what a fluffy should be it’s like porn when does something cross the line in to porn hard to say but you know when you see it

I would like to point out we are hear because owl found his limit to what makes a fluffy so maybe you should ask him how much head cannon is to much since he is in a position to enforce it

I would like to know why he chose to signal out Godzilla and not any other since again he can enforce his depictions while I can only give opinions hell get oculus in hear let’s hear his limits on head cannon

They are mods if we are going to decide anything of merit then the mods should state their cases or you can just go back and decide on your own if not I am just arguing into the either
