What's the difference between Cannibal Fluffies and Hunting Friends? (By CrazedKitty1290)

I was in the middle of fleshing out my story but then in the middle i had a thought. I wanted my character to have a trained cannibal fluff but then I remembered something called a hunting friend or hunting fluff… My character is going to be a fluffy behavior specialist so what is the difference between them and which would be better suited?

Hunting friends are trained to be that way.
( not always but most often they are.)

Question: do you want your cannibal fluffy to be an over-powered butcher wearing a fluffy skin, or a regular fluffy, only with a taste for fluffy meat?

What does said cannibal think of itself for eating other fluffies?

Oh gosh nothing like that haha XD I was more thinking of the intelligence of the cannibal fluff. As is said my character is a fluffy behavior specialist so i wanted a fluff she can use a kinda go between when figuring out a fluff. So a regular fluff that’s a bit smarter and happens to have a taste for meat.

As for thoughts there are good fluffs (Fluffies that would are either a bit wonky but other wise can be worked with or are otherwise good fluffs) bad fluffs (Fluffies that need breaking down before being built back up again) or food (fluffs that are too messed up in the head for rehab).

From my understanding, Hunting Friends are trained and brought up on meat and need it to survive, where as a Cannibal Fluffy will use meat as a treat, like candy or cakes.

I always figured “cannibal fluffy” was the human term while “hunty-fwen” was what cannibal fluffs called each other.

Motowhed headcanon wise “cannibal” fluffies are different physiologically from regular fluffies. Much like bobcats versus domestic felines. One is cute cuddly etc. the other shares the same basic genome but often uses the “better faster stronger” trope. They can look like other fluffies and the only giveaway is a swirling pattern in their irises. Regular Fluffies can also practice cannibalism (see references to “tummi sketties”, TW though) but its not common practice.

Never heard of someone training fluffies into cannibalism…

Hey, @BFM101 is Crimson a cannibal or just a degenerate rapist of everything on the planet except for 17 strangely specific things?

Based on how I’ve seen it, Hunting is a breed, intentionally made or at least selectively bred. They only exist for human ownership. They are connected to the government or high tech labs sometimes. They’re like kinda robotic almost, too smart to be a Fluffy. More like a human intelligence or a Star Wars assassin droid. They don’t get dumbass moments.

Cannibals are a mutation, they survive as Ferals and Domestic ones are bought from standard breeders, shelters, or most often straight from the Feral population. Same as any other Fluffy. I do prefer the idea they Among Us in Herds rather than moving like wolfpacks or trapping Fluffies like spiders (but with promises instead of webs) the way most portray them. Generally they are portrayed as smarter, but degenerate and severely mentally ill. They have more in common with Abusers and lead-addled meth addicts than Fluffies.

Because I love the toy/capitalism metaphors its like Hunters are a different playstyle for the owner or a higher end product (like competition or military training grade) and Cannibals are defective units that wreck the rest of your collection at worst and just don’t belong/play right at best but are sought after by some collectors like misprint Magic cards.

Personally I only played with the idea of a Cannibal once and haven’t touched Hunters.

Crimson is the secondary personality of an emotionally traumatised stallion who unknowingly committed sickening acts of cruelty, thus creating the overpowering Crimson personality as a way of distancing himself from said acts of cruelty.

Literally born from violence, gore and sexual perversions, Crimson believes that he has always been a horrific force of chaos because that is all he’s known. While living as Josef’s pet, his cannibalistic and rapacious tendencies were enabled until Crimson didn’t know any better.

So to answer your question; both.

What’s the difference between Cannibal Fluffies and Hunting Friends?

Edginess

Depending on headcanon, cannibal fluffies were either a spontaneous mutation or a deliberate creation, but either way they are a response to fluffy overpopulation. They feed primarily on fluffies (especially the intestines or ‘tummeh sketties’, likely their version of the normal fluffy fondness for spaghetti.) They are, on average, faster, stronger, and smarter than normal fluffies, possibly because of their high protein diet, and take great delight in hunting and eating fluffies. They are also known to ‘play’ with their food, and its entirely possible they have some domestic cat DNA.

Cannibal fluffies look identical to regular fluffies except for an odd discoloration or spiral pattern in their eyes, which can often be seen only under close examination. A dissection will reveal musculoskeletal and neurological differences.

Cannibal fluffs can act like regular fluffies and often do so to get near their prey. Cannibal fluffies are not domesticated and make poor pets; unlike regular fluffies, cannibal fluffies are much better equipped to survive in the wild (feeding on small mammals if no fluffies are available.)

Hunting fluffies are like hunting dogs, regular fluffies selected for size, speed, and other qualities and trained to hunt fluffies. Some simply ‘spot’ for the hunters, others will try to lure wild fluffies into traps.

Hunting fluffies do not generally eat their targets, they are rewarded for a good hunt with sketti.

Attempts to use cannibal fluffies as hunting fluffies generally fail, cannibal fluffies prefer to hunt alone or in pairs and don’t respond well to orders.

As always, there are exceptions, since fluffies vary wildly in ability and personality. These are just general observations.
