Fluffy’s slow evolution hits also on their fur and mane, now it begin to shed and actual gave warmth, some evolved to have actual thicker fur in the winter and some assigned in some outpost to provide companion to their owners and workers are out at night added their “glow” gotten brighter.
I know I’ve said it before, but I’m going to say it again. My favorite part of this entire series is how fluffies have finally had enough time to evolve a bit, yet despite the changes, they are still essentially the same fluffies we all know and love.
Other unnamed, shameful artists sometimes go too far and make their evolved fluffy characters too developed, or to everyone’s profound disgust and horror, make them truly capable. Those stories and drawings never succeed.
Nobody wants a fluffy to backflip over a smarty’s head, land behind him, pull out a sword and say “Heh, nuffin pewsonaw kid” (unless it’s a delightful weirdbox satire or something, in which case the cringier the better).
But your evolved fluffies look like they can still accidentally drown themselves while taking a sip from a shallow puddle. Or get flattened by a hover-car because they tried to scare the floaty munstah away from their “wand”. Their marginally developed capability keeps this whole series grounded, and I can’t express my love of it any clearer than this. You are over if my top five favorite artists here. Keep up the good work.
And also I’m still eagerly awaiting part 3 of “The Play”. Any news on how that’s going? Or is it an unfortunate case of writer’s block?
Honestly, fluffies evolving is a pretty interesting idea. It could even be used to explain how a biotoy were able to survive in the streets in most stories here; maybe they just evolved (perhaps this could be attributed to a mistake in their creator’s bioengineering work, which gave them the capacity to adapt faster than other organisms).
As for The Play , the story script is done I just need the mood to draw it actually, will post it once its done. I estimate two or three pages and the story ends
In my world lore after Samuel, Cassandra and Dr. Pellitonni left Hasbio and just left the basic generic blueprint for fluffies, the hired scientists by the company couldn’t do much than a half baked fluffies we see in every stories.
And basically yeah scientist blunder but for a reason Cassandra never shared her main ingredient , imagine the over population of these critters so its partly a blessing in disguised and nature always make sure these bio toy always stay in their quota.
Yeah, that’s for the best.
The basic fluffy is already bad enough on it’s own; I don’t want to know what else Hasbio would have done with the full genetic blueprint after the normal fluffies’s novelty wore off.
