I could have told you back at the turn of the century that there’s nothing magical or intrinsically human about creativity, and that vitalism is fake. But everyone else is panicking that their sacred cow has been slaughtered; People are treating it like some mindshattering lovecraftian revelation, and that it came on suddenly without warn, but really it’s just an unusually public expression of a fact that’s been known to science for nearly 200 years - there’s nothing special or magical about living things - I can see how that could be a mindshattering revelation when it was first discovered, but the time to have your mind shattered by it was in 1828.
