From a verisimilitude aspect, the assumption is that she still can drink any water she finds (she should be able to), otherwise it’s 2-3 days based on similarly sized mammals (cats, pigs and dogs).
If it’s only food, then 3-5 days (dog/pig) or 2 weeks (cat).
5 days for a pregnant mare is a bit on the long time, especially since she’s close to term (foal was born alive and not spontaneously aborted due to the stress).
Speaking of which, how long is the gestation time in your head canon? The assumption was that she’s newly pregnant from the previous comic, but she’s carried a foal to full term in 5 days, which is a lot quicker than most head canons.
I uh, never thought of that. Maybe 2 weeks, honestly.
I know it makes a lot of plotholes but yeah, I’ll do better about it next time.
I initially thought about doing only stillbirths below her, and they were in the sketch, but then I thought “why not do a chirpy too?” there.
But NOW that I think about it, yeah, it’s a plothole with this headcanon, sorry.
I wouldn’t worry about it; it’s just my personal urge for things making logical sense, so feel free to ignore or take on board my suggestions and comments.
