But that makes no sense, fluffies are not only dirt cheap to acquire but a labor intensive project. You can’t really do a designer gacha market because designer phones don’t shit and whine as well as caring for more than three is hard asf making that kind of collecting impossible. People aren’t that stupid and will figure it out eventually that “Hey these things take a lot of work if you don’t want them killing your vibe or tearing up your house.”

though they are able to clearly communicate with humans, manufactured lisp or not, and they are clearly intelligent, and are capable of tool use, they’re still physically more animal-like than human-like, and will always have physical limitations.
if it were physically closer to a humanoid ape or a monkey, i’d totally understand treating it like a child.
if they are able to survive into the future and are able to evolve beyond their manufactured limitations with their intelligence intact, perhaps i might treat them like a child.
but no. no matter how much i like to talk about their very obvious intelligence and social sophistication, they aren’t shaped like me, and will always be alien to me.

Same could be said about yippy little dogs, talking toys, or those home assistants, or smart appliances. You and me probably don’t get it because we are not rich but some people will get something like a fluffy just to fill an existential void.
That is part of the reason I find the idea of fluffies so interesting.

I feel like part of that is just where humanity is, the world keeps getting harder and harder to make headway in and a lot of people need something to lash out at. Fluffies are unfortunately human adjacent and there for get a lot of redirected anger.

spaghetti is a high calorie meal packed with tasty fattening starches. depending on the sauce, it can also be fairly balanced. if giving any person or animal an option between kibble of any type that they eat every day or fresh spaghetti, i’m fairly certain most would choose the spaghetti.

I to am a fan of pasta Mediterranean especially, but I ment skeeties are a means of control, they are cheap, available in all but the poorest nations and near impossible for fluffies to make for themselves.

The soap idea, they can be classified as toys, and the morality of abusing them because we made them. In general that shows a petulant worldview, rather than schadenfraude and transferrence at other sapients. Because then theoretically you could apply that logic to a kid and that gets into morality only based on what you can get away with.

I agree, partially. It’s intrinsic to most headcanons, but it’s not a great reason to abuse something it just allows you to do it.
Maybe it’s because they talk, the sound of their voice, being cute, being naive, or simply because people love violence.
I feel partial to apathetic abuse, people simply not caring enough about the things to help them.
