Reminds me of the book Flowers for Algernon where a man and a mouse were given a treatment to make them both more intelligent. It’s an interesting read if anyone has not read it before. I found it interesting how Zeke increased intelligence did not change his speech patterns or vocabulary, but allowed him to simplify complex concepts into fluffy logic with explanations that other fluffies could somewhat understand.

I love that book!
I decided to treat fluffspeak as a dialect more than an impediment that he’d unlearn. I looked up what cognitive testing is done on animals like crows and it’s more application/adaptation than working on language. It could be different for fluffies but I focused on puzzles and critical thinking, which he needed to escape, find the fluffies, and find a way to kill them (which he believes is doing them a kindness).

A quick relatively painless death by stomping or fire is by far kinder than years of experimentation and open surgeries.
