About a bad world idea

I used google translate.
I have this story idea, a very evil world. the fluffys lived happily, but one day an asshole leader won, who made it legal to abuse and kill, not just fluffys. many people die because they are “liberals” and “socialists” and “woke”, and the survivors have to live in a country like North Korea. everyone is abused, there is hardly anything to eat, only the soldiers and the racists get enough to eat.
how do you think this would go for the fluffys? People would suffer and be abused by other humans, but what of fluffy?

And then everybody clapped.

Was thinking O.

Sorry?

What?

yes

What would happen to fluffys?

((I tried not to use contractions, I hope that helps with translation. I wrote way too much and it is almost all writing advice, not brainstorming ))

“Everything Is Awful” dystopias for humans are a little overdone, and tend to be heavy and depressing for the audience. “Fascist Dystopia Where Liberals Are Persecuted” also feels bland. A concept alone is not enough to carry a story.

(if you just want to create the world, but not write a story with characters and plot, then ignore me  there are plenty of people fully invested in fluffy suffering purely for the sake of fluffy suffering)

There is potential in every idea, the execution is what really matters. You can make the simplest, most boring idea compelling with well-made characters, a unique tone or voice or style, and a clear purpose in telling it.

(What I mean by “purpose” is why you wrote the story. Do you want readers to laugh? Cry? Feel dread or despair? Do you want to bring up warm, hopeful feelings? Do you want them to feel betrayed as you reveal a twist? Misery for the sake of misery can be tiring to read. Currently, your concept kind of screams “I am a liberal and I feel persecuted” OR “I am a conservative and I think liberals are dramatic snowflakes,” which is unfair to you as a creator, but it is the vibe I got.)

Though, I am intrigued by the idea of a world where humans have it just as bad as fluffies, but instead of having the ruling class be “racists and assholes” what if they are aliens? Gods or some other kind of super-being? Perhaps another horrific product of genetic engineering (like fluffies)? We are as insignificant and disposable as fluffies to these higher beings, so fluffies become even less significant by extension. What happens then?

Stories don’t have to have happy ending or kindhearted characters to be good. Stories where the villains win can be interesting (and we rarely see stories set AFTER the bad guys win, so I am definitely curious) Do some research on what happens to real animals under a tyrannical system, the DIFFERENCE between how real animals are treated and how fluffies would be treated is the interesting part.

Fluffies can be used as a low-stakes, micro reflection of human suffering. But, in addition to being weak, stupid, and defenseless, they are completely fictional. They are not real, so you can “do” whatever you want to them. You can explore concepts that would otherwise be WAY TOO FAR if portrayed happening to a human or real animal.

I am a storyteller (and a softie) at heart, so my advice is always about writing good stories, rather than simply expanding a concept. I am probably just getting ahead of myself.

My very best advice is inspired partly by Freddie Mercury: “Be good, be bad, be anything, just never ever be boring.” If your story entertains, you succeeded.

I want the story done as therapy because this hell I live. Too many friends died by dictators and abusers and people who hate us being LGBT+. I not know what can be with fluffys. I wish guide.

write your therapy story but replace people with fluffies it’s just that simple ,unless you want people to be the ones suffering then someone having a pet fluffy that is mentioned from time to time is more than enough to post here

Just another day in this hell.

I mean you can really write whatever you want as long as you keep it about fluffies, I’d assume.

if only you could take your own advice
