The image was tagged “harvest” suggesting that the pink foal was shaved to harvest her fluff. The foals do not understand the reason for the process, hence their crying. Piece thus tagged as neutralbox, pending further clarification as there is no retreivable archive page.

While its true, the tag for this was “harvest”. It didn’t say abuse or sadbox, it was just “harvest”. I imagine it’s similar to Chikahiro’s depiction of fluffies being sheared. Though, foals are kind of small and don’t have a lot of fluff, so there’s also that. It’s why I’d like to defer to @Carpdime 's judgement - he has the final word on whether this is abuse, punishment, or shearing for the good of the fluffy.
