I think daddy has it all wrong. Foals with ābadā (read: unpopular for pets) colors are just as deserving of care and affection as foals with āgoodā colors. Both good and bad colored fluffies serve useful and profitable ends. Good colors and good personalities become pets. Good colors and bad personalities become pillowfluffs for eventual harvest as colorful fur. Bad colors and good personalities become tasty meat. Bad colors and bad personalities become foal meat.

Unfortunately this is all too true as for our dog Bridget, we found her all the way in the back of the shelter on the bottom kennel; out of sight and basically out of mind. Black cats and dogs donāt get adopted that often, and yet thats all weāve owned.

I dunno. Seems like a good trial by fire. Good fluffs are supposed to always be happy. Treating them like shit in the store accomplishes 2 things:
- Fluffies who canāt be happy despite their circumstances get culled out, leaving only happy fluffs that either choose to be happy despite miserable conditions (or are too stupid to be sad)
- And ensures the fluffies will bond with their new owner as whoever ends up adopting them will come off as a saint to them.
Plus pity sells are a real thing. Think of all the stories of someone seeking out the most miserable foal to āsaveā them. Thereās even one or two in this comment thread.
