After that, Mimi cooed, suckled your fingertip, and started becoming sleepy. Finally.
You put her back onto her pillow and put her blanket over her as she switched your fingertip for her hoof.
You said you wouldn’t get attached to it, but here you are, feeling happy for her safety.
Maybe it’s attachment, maybe not. You pray it isn’t.
You just hope she grows up big and strong. Like that stupid mummah song.
