“S-STAY AWAY! NU TOUCH CHEWWY!”
This is kind of a scene from Chapter 12.5 of my story “Cherry and Brian”. Cherry broke his horn after an accident with a doggy door, so he has to go to the vet. The pain reminds him of when his abusive birth mother, Berry, snapped his front leg as a foal. This is when his brain puts him in “self defense” mode, and he crams himself in a corner and lashes out at anyone who comes close.
He ends up ok after the vet gives him a lavender-scented bunny plush to cuddle, though!
