Its just a name given to her by witnesses and those who survive her wrath. she became an immortal undead witch after she was burn as a witch (she was just a herbalist and women jealous of her beauty and green eyes) and her would be groom , cowardly run away and left her to die so she curse the town which is part of the forest areas.
