Da Twight Pwace: Dare To Dream [By BFM101]

The screen opens up on Wod Sehwing, the black and white Alicorn presenter sitting on a chair, a candy cigarette in his mouth.

“Sweepy-piktas. Dey am gud fings. Make Fwuffies see fings dat am impossibew, wingie-fwuffies dat can fwy, babbeh dat stay wittew an pwetty foweba, stawwion who am da stwongesh eba. Bu it am impowtant to rememba dat sweepy-piktas am onwy fow sweeping, cos if Fwuffy twy tu bwing sweepy-piktas into da wakies-wand, den dey mite jus fin demsewves in…

Da Twiwight Pwace.

Angmar was tough. Some might say the toughest Fluffy of all time, and he did not hesitate to remind anyone who listened.

“ANGMAH AM STWONGESH FWUFFY, NU STAWWION CAN DEEFEET ANGMAH!”

With a loud crack, the hulking grey unicorn with an obsidian black mane crushed the skull of the stallion in front of him, the green Fluff of his opponent instantly turned red as he was killed by the brickhouse of a Fluffy.

Behind them both, the dead stallion’s mate wailed for her lost love.

“SPECIAW-FWIEND NU!!! HUUUUU, HE NEBA GIT BE DADDEH, NEBA HAB FAMIWY!”

Angmar kicked the corpse away and turned to the mare, she was a purple earthie with an orange mane, not as pretty as he would’ve liked, but she’d do.

“Mawe hab namesie?” He spat at her.

“Wh…wha?”

“Wat. Am. Yuw. Namesie?”

“Kass…Kassandwa.”

“Kassandwa am Angmah’s speciaw-fwiend nyo.”

“NU, NU WAN, NU GIB BAD SPECIAW-HUGG…”

Angmar smacked Kassandra in the jaw, hard enough to almost break the bones. The shock rung through the mare so violently that she didn’t realise Angmar had entered her until he had already pushed her head into the dirt, staining her neck with the still warm blood of her special-friend, her eyes forced to stare at his broken corpse while she was violated by this monster.

“ENFENFENFENFENFENF! GUD FEEWS!”

Kassandra shuddered with revulsion as she felt Angmar finish inside her, she thought of her lost love, how they had waited until their home was perfect, until they had enough food to last them through the hot-times and beyond before having babbehs. Babbehs that would never come now, babbehs that had been replaced by these children born of violence.

She stayed there, laying on the grass as Angmar climbed off her and kicked her mate’s corpse over to the hillside, a steep face kept their home safe from dangers provided the Fluffies themselves stayed away from its edge.

Angmar kicked the body over the edge and watched it tumble and fall, the sharp sound of cracking bones echoed through the forest before the corpse crumpled into a heap at the bottom. Angmar took a deep breath in and smiled.

“Angmah fink stay hewe fow wittew bit wonga.”

That night, Angmar had the dream , the same dream he had every night since he became a stallion. Cloud of luminous green and darkest black swirled together, a storm echoing in the distance with only the flash of lightning being seen through the clouds. From far away and yet whispered so close it was in his ear, a voice told Angmar the same words he’d heard every night.

You are the strongest Fluffy. No stallion can defeat you. But it is through a colt that you will meet your doom.

The mantra repeated until Angmar woke the next morning, he couldn’t understand the dream, if no stallion ever stood a chance against him, what good could a colt do? He ignored the words and got up, tucking into the stockpile of food Kassandra and her mate had gathered. Behind him he heard Kassandra crying, her hoof to her stomach where her unwanted tummeh-babbehs grew.

Angmar rolled his eyes and tossed her a piece of fruit. “Hab nummies, tummeh-babbehs need gwow big an stwong.”

“Wai meanie gib Kassandwa nummies, yu onwy gib wowsteh heawt-huwties.”

“Nu fow yu dummeh, fow tummeh-babbehs. Need dem big and stwong. Angmah am stwongesh Fwuffy eba, need hab stwongesh babbehs eba.”

Tentatively, Kassandra took the fruit and nibbled on it, which very quickly became full on scoffing once she realised her famished she was. Satisfied that the mare wasn’t going to go off again, Angmar resumed eating, he was going to need his strength up in case any dummehs tried to take his newly claimed land from him.

Over the next few weeks, Angmar settled into his new life, because of the steep hill-side protecting them from behind, they very rarely got invaders and the few that did try were swiftly taken care of. It wasn’t the life he expected, but he found a contentment in the simplicity of it all, if not for the dreams every night he might have even forgotten the words that had pushed him on for most of his life.

Kassandra even found herself at some form of peace, she never loved Angmar, but she grew to care for the foals within her, as her first ever litter she couldn’t help but grow excited about being a mother and her love for them turned into acceptance for their father.

Which brought them both to the day of their birth.

“HNNNGGGGHHH! BIGGESH POOPIES!”

Kassandra strained as the foals pushed their way out of her special-place, Angmar stayed nearby to help, he wanted to see how strong his children were as soon as possible.

He offered no words of comfort to Kassandra, caring not for her plight as she delivered his brood. Slowly she pushed out one, then another, then another, four foals in total were delivered into their den before Kassandra returned to normal size, panting and exhausted. She turned round and immediately cooed at the sight of her litter.

“Coo, babbehs am su pwetty, wook speciaw-fwiend, babbehs am hewe.”

Angmar watched silently as Kassandra picked up the foals one by one and licked them clean, she started with a black earthie filly with a purple mane, making sure she was clean and dry before placing her onto a teat.

“Dawk babbeh am gud babbeh, an bwite-babbeh am gud babbeh tuu.”

The bright babbeh was a bright earthie orange colt with a black mane, he sleepily waved his limbs as he was placed onto Kassandra’s spare teat. She then picked up the third foal, a purple earthie filly with a grey mane and licked her clean as well.

“Dis am awsu gud babbeh, Kassandwa hab bestesh babbehs eba. And dis babbeh… dis am BIG babbeh.”

Angmar’s eyes lit up as he gazed onto the forth and final foal. It was an exact copy of him, a grey unicorn with a black mane, already the grey foal outsized his siblings by a noticeable amount, he was just born and already bigger and stronger than any of the other foals.

As strong as Angmar himself the stallion thought as Kassandra moved the black filly out of the way to let the grey colt feed.

Perhaps stronger even.

Too strong.

The words from his dream echoed in his ears as he stared at his grey son. Through a colt you will meet your doom. Surely not his own son, surely not his little babbeh. But his little babbeh would grow up, become bigger and stronger, stronger than even Angmar himself, of course the only thing that would defeat him would be himself.

“Wook speciaw-fwiend, babbeh am jus wike yu. Dis am bestesh babbeh, be big and stwong tu pwotect mummah an babbehs. Mummah wub babbehs, babbehs wun mummah…”

As Kassandra blisffuly sung to her foals, Angmar dipped his head in sorrow and solemnly took the grey foal from his mother, Kassandra heard the distressed peeping and opened her eyes just in time to see Angmar leave the den with their son.

“Speciaw-fwiend? Whewe take bestesh babbeh? Babbeh am tuu wittew tu be way fwom mummah.”

Distressed and terrified, Kassandra followed Angmar outside, her heart freezings solid when she saw Angmar heading towards the hillside.

“BABBEH NU!”

Angmar ignored her cries and tossed the grey foal over the edge, the newborn chirped for a moment out of the sudden loss of gravity, before he was struck instantly silent by the hard landing. Angmar watched the foal’s body roll down the hill, part of him felt awful for having to kill his own kin, but he couldn’t take any chances with the dream, he wouldn’t let anyone put him at risk, not even his own children.

Angmar sighed and turned back to the den, just in time to see Kassandra slam into his side.

While his body was being violently pushed backwards by the sudden force, Angmar might have had the time to consider the irony, that the dream was right, that through the murder of his own colt son, Angmar had brought about the means of his own doom.

He might’ve thought that. But Angmar was a Fluffy, and Fluffies don’t understand the meaning of irony.

Kassandra stood and watched as Angmar twisted and cracked and broke every bone in his body during the fall, he seemed to hit every rock and tree root that jutted out of the steep incline on the way down, only the ever growing stink of shit told Kassanra he was still alive as his jaw had broken nearly clean off during one of his first crash landings.

“YU GIB BESTESH BABBEH FOWEBA SWEEPIES, KASSANDWA HATCHU, BIGGESH MEANIE!”

She screamed at him until he stopped rolling, landing close to the spot where the last remains of her last special-friend lay. Angmar’s limbs were all crooked at horrible angles if not completely torn off, and his head was facing an entirely unnatural angle. He was, without a doubt, dead.

Kassandra took several deep breaths before turning back to the den to comfort her surviving children, no doubt scared out of their minds by the shouting and screaming. As Kassandra returned to her nest, the camera pulled out to reveal Wod Sehwing watching from the distance.

“Angmah neba undastan his sweepy-piktas, he fink dat bein biggesh, stwongesh Fwuffy was foweba, bu he nu fink dat da sweepy-pikta was a wawnin, an dat am wha weawwy gib him foweba sweepies.”

Wod flicked away his candy cigarette and began walking off to the right, the camera following him as the background turned to black.

“Dewe am wots of fings Fwuffy nu undastand, eben if yu fink yu du, awway wememba to ask yuw mummah ow daddeh fiwst, becos a Fwuffy who nu undastand sumfing can git wost. An gitten wost am da bestesh way tu fin yuwsewf in…

Da Twiwight Pwace.”

This is really similar to an old story I read, about a young filly getting lured out into a building and was trapped by the leader. His own son also killed him too, but it was much sadder.
