Fluffy Species Headcanons (Star-The-Alicorn)

While fluffies are manmade and classified by law as biotoys, they still have instincts and different attributes, just like normal animals do.

Fluffies are made of horse, rabbit, dog, cat, and other animals depending on breed. It is confirmed that there is about a 1% amount of human in their dna. This allows them to speak like humans.

Chocolate is toxic to most animals, but thanks to their human dna, it only intoxicates them. They lose coordination, potentially make bad decisions, and their speech becomes near incomprehensible. They tend to act like squirrels that have had too many fermented crabapples.

Fluffies are a worldwide species. Therefore, instead of just english, they learn the language that is most used around them. This is so people who don’t speak english could potentially understand what a fluffy is saying. (It also has a potential for abuse, since you could just dump a fluffy in the middle of a foreign city, where it won’t be able to understand any humans around it.)

Earthies are the breed with the most horse dna. They tend to be larger and stronger, and have coarser fur. Their voices are deeper, and their eyes are set further apart, like a real horse. They’re sometimes used for work around backyard gardens, and there are even fluffy-sized plows for them to use.

Unicorns have a fair amount of narwhal in their genes, for their horn. Therefore, they are more attracted to water. An owner wishing for less hassle with bathing should consider a unicorn. A unicorn’s horn also serves as a way to get extra oxygen to the brain, as the inside of the horn is soft and spongy. The outer shell of the horn has microscopic pores that take in air. This can explain their slight boost in intelligence; extra oxygen.

Pegasi have quite a bit of songbird in them, and have hollow bones like birds do. Therefore, they’re very musical creatures. They’re oftentimes heard humming or singing. Their fur is softer, and “molts” twice a year. Once in the winter for a heavy coat, and once in the spring so they don’t overheat in summer. They also have air sacs instead of lungs, like birds. Sometimes they’re known to break into melodic chirps when happy.

Alicorns are a bit different. They tend to be large compared to the average non-alicorn fluffy. Their horns are bigger, as are their wings. Their wings are sometimes even large enough to carry them into the air. The horn is stronger, but brings more oxygen to the brain, therefore substantially boosting its intelligence. They have less of a problem with water, as they can learn to swim and can steady themselves in deep water by spreading their wings.

Each fluffy breed’s courting ritual and fighting style is different as well. (I will explain those in a post I’ll make later.)
