“Nu wowwy my peopwe fo’ I, am King’ hab wetuwned!”
[What Tullos StrongWing said after arriving at port Xerxes and meeting a crowd of people]
Silence engulfed the entire room, when we heard the words that came out of Vaastu’s mouth. He was here… Vaastu seeing the reactions of the room speaks again.
“Nu did 'ou heaw? Tuwwos came back wiff his awmy. An fwom what Baastu heawd he nu did stay at powt wong though, he weft awmost as soon as he awwibed.”
Finally after a few seconds of more salience Enoch speaks, with him only saying a few words.
“How wawge was dah awmy he bwought back, whewe am dey headin…”
Vaastu thinks for a moment before speaking, with him having a plain tone.
“He weft wiff about 2000 Ithink, buh who knows how many died to dah twibaw’s though. An’ fo’ whewe dey am going, ugh… Stabwewot maybe, buh Tuwwos am pwobabwy goin’ to stahp at Gween Woof awong dah way.”
Enoch tries to keep himself calm with Tethius looking like he was now about to collapse, than with a sudden jolt of energy and purpose Enoch speaks.
“If he’s awweady hewe, dewe’s onwy one thin’ we can do. We nee’ to confwont him head on, not wiff bwade buh wiff wowd. We nee’ to expose him fo’ dah fwaud fwuffy am!”
Enoch get’s up and Tethius speaks sounding a bit panicked.
“Am 'ou suwe about dis!”
Enoch speaks looking in both the direction of Tethius and Vaastu.
“Tethius we nu hab much time weft, an’ cuwwentwy we hab wittwe choice. If we am abwe to take gween woof befowe tuwwos awwibes fwuffy wiww be weak, an’ exposin’ him won’t be much issue. Baastu enoch wan’'s ‘ou an’ am men to pwepawe, we weabe fo’ gween woof in dah mownin’.”
When Next morning came there was little time to wait, as soon as we awoke we got ourselves geared up and prepared to leave. The ones staying behind weren’t many, you had only Enoch’s family, a small garrison of guardsmen that will be staying. While those leaving would be Enoch, Tethius, Netwin and most of the estate guard, the Anuian guard, My unit + Reverend and Vaastu and his Breadbasket soldiers. So in total our force was close to 2000 strong. Making our way out of the gate Enoch waved goodbye to his family, telling them that he would soon be back. And after a few more moments, he took a deep breath and we were off. For the first few hours things were pretty uneventful, with us just marching most in a straight line, vaguely going in the direction of Green Roof and taking a turn once or twice. But despite all of that it still felt nice, to just have a few hours to myself and be able to just clear my head and enjoy the moment. This moment was interrupted though, when we came to a village. People started coming out of there houses looking confused and a bit worried and than a foal come up speaking.
“Mummah, Daddeh wook! Wook at dah sowdiews!”
Looking around I see nobody has any idea what to make of the situation, so I decide to head to the carriage where Enoch was sitting atop of and get his attention.
“Hey!”
Enoch turns to look at me and I speak, with me giving a light smile.
“Smiwe an’ wabe to them!”
Enoch hearing this is confused for a few seconds before it finally hits him. He turns looking at the growing crowd and begins to wave. A few wave back to him and when Tethius notices this he goes over and speaks to the crowd, trying his best to sound upbeat.
“Am majesty Enoch Doe, heiw to Wiwian an’ Wiwwow!”
miraculously compared to Stablelot the crowd didn’t go into a riot upon hearing this, instead quite the opposite. You had people carrying out banners showing the coat of the Doe dynasty and than as we payed most of our attention to the crowd I heard the sound of heavy movement coming from the village. And as I and others turned we saw what looked like 30 something people coming up to us wearing the armor of guards and members of the fighting guild. And I also noticed that a good portion of them looked pretty old, what was going on? One of them comes up to Tethius and Enoch, speaking as he reveals his sword.
“Am majesty we may be pwetty owd, buh we wish to fite awongside 'ou! I wiww nebah accept that cwooked Duke Tuwwos as king, ebew!”
Enoch after thinking it over for a bit speaks.
“come den, 'ou wiww fowebah be honowed!”
With that the raise there swords cheering as they join our army, and we continue on to Green Roof. Getting closer and closer to Green Roof we started running into more urbanized areas and more people looked at us. A few were just simply confused by this whole conflict, neither taking the side of Enoch or Tullos. A few more were supporters of Tullos, with most of them just yelling at us as we marched along. But what surprised me the most was the amount of support we were getting from the towns and villages. It seemed like every one we visited we had crowds meeting us, with people even giving us food and drink or even joined us! With all of this he now had an army that was around 3000 strong and I had a realization, maybe despite his outward popularity. Tullos wasn’t as well liked as he thought, and there were still lot’s of people still loyal to House Doe.
As The sun started going down we got our fist glimpses of Green Roof. The third largest city in Motor, Soul’s city. Of course the name Green Roof was a bit of a lie, the structure that was the original Green Roof had long since eroded into nothing but a empty rusted husk of a skeleton that still towered over the massive city. As we got closer and closer to it’s gate we could see guards running across like they were in a panic. Than as we got around 250 HoofSteps away from the door it began to open widely, revealing what was behind it… Out came an army of thousands, all the soldiers looking rough and like they seen and done horrible things, than he came. The soldiers got themselves out of the way as rode on his raccoon, it was Tullos. He was a unicorn with a greyish orange coat, a brown mane and he wore clothing fit for a King. And as he got closer I could also see a beige hooded figure walking with him and his entourage as well. Tullos finally stops as he waits for his army to follow him and look at Enoch straight in the face and starts to speak.
“Su ‘ou am my wong wost “Gwandson” I’be been heawin’ about.” Fin
