“A storm is rising from the east, and when it finally decides to come… The corners of the world will choose their destiny, and a new age will begin.”
[A quote from SevenDall “Three Eyes”]
[Pov Emily]
After that conversation, we found ourselves at the dining room where a roast was waiting for us. For the next few moments we all sat and ate, with us telling Alfred a bit of our adventures and updates on what was going on in Motor. When it came to explaining what was going on with the threat east, Alfred seemed to be oddly relaxed and nonchalant. With him saying he was more than confident in the strength of our forces, and even joking about it! Before I had a chance to explain the sheer gravity of what was going on and why we were here, Nippon had come upstairs from the basement and I got my first glimpse of him. He was a old grim looking stallion, with him having a ragged black mane and a unwashed dark red coat. He got a bit angry when he saw us with him speaking in a shriveled and condescending tone.
“Weawwy awfwed mowe bisitows, ‘ou know how much papewwowk nippon wiww nee’ to do!”
Nippon goes to the table, with Alfred looking embarrassed and when he glimpses at Kri for the first time he takes a few steps back and shouts.
“DAH FUCK AM THAT!”
Now Kri looked even more embarrassed than Alfred. And before I had a chance to talk back to Nippon, Alfred speaks getting up.
“Awfwed thinks it’s gettin’ wate! Dewe am guest wooms downstaiws, 'ou may head down…”
Dar and Aubrey get up without saying anything, and shortly there after me and Kri followed. And as we headed down, Aubrey spoke with a slightly amusing tone.
“Isn’t fwuffy a kiwwjoy?”
But this comment didn’t get many laughs as we headed down and saw a square ha;;way with a few tiny rooms. Aubrey seeing that we were about to go and put our things down speaks.
“Su am we goin’ to go out, Emiwy, Daw, an Kwi?”
I had almost completely forgot of the plans we had made and just as I was about to head into a small room to the back of the hallway, I spoke.
“Oghhhhh… Suwe maybe, Daw an’ Kwi am 'ou coming?”
Dar speaks, beginning to take off his armor.
“Suwe Daw guess, awways found faw 'way pwaces pwetty intewesting!”
I begin to take off my armor and Aubrey speaks, looking at Kri
“Kri ou to?”
Kri speaks trying to hide her low voice.
“I’d think I will Ssstay here, just a bit tired you see.”
Before any of us could respond Kri had already entered one of the spare rooms and closed the door, with Aubrey speaking a few moments later.
“Otay’ den… Once 'ou two am weady, wet’s weabe.”
After putting my things down and fully taking off my armor I was ready. I had no idea what we were going to do (With the complete lack of Chicago money, we couldn’t do much) But I hoped we would find something interesting. Going upstairs I’m happy to notice that Alfred had seemed to have gone to bed, while Nippon was sat at the table with a plate of roast but asleep with a mug of liquor next to him. Exiting the embassy I see that the sun had already set, with it still somewhat light out but quickly getting darker. Dar speaks breathing in the fresh air.
“So whewe shouwd we go?”
After looking both way’s Aubrey speaks.
“Dah way we came seems wike a nice bet! Aubwey think she saw mawket when we came in.”
Beginning to walk, things felt so peaceful. Everywhere around me I saw people going about with a gleeful ignorance radiating from them. Was I really about to break the illusion? To tell them that out east there was a this monstrous force seeking their destruction? I need to give myself a moment to stop thinking about that and just relax. With us walking for about 7 minutes I heard Aubrey speak, pointing in the direction of a small alley.
“Wook obah thewe!”
I look to see an alleyway where at first I didn’t understand why Aubrey pointed it out, than I noticed the sign hanging from one of the buildings.
[StoneyBin Lounge]
I speak, a bit put off about the place.
“'Ou suwe Aubwey? That pwace pwobabwy doesn’t take to kindwy to those-”
Aubrey interrupts me, her slightly annoyed.
“C’mon Emiwy wighten up a bit, Aubwey was just thinkin’ of checkin’ it out!”
I turn to look at Dar who shrugs and speaks.
“Wouwdn’t huwt tu to go in fo’ a few minutes.”
I sigh and we all begin to walk towards the lounge, entering silently.
The place was as I almost exactly envisioned. It was dark and moody, with dozens of sour looking patrons. Walking in-between the many tables we tried to find a place to sit, but unfortunately all seemed full. And than as we were about to go back and continue searching, when I saw a tired looking beige puffy with a clipboard approach us and speak.
“Names?”
I speak, a bit confused.
“What do 'ou mean names?”
The puffy looks at us with an annoyed expression now plastered across his face, and speaks.
“Look this place is reservation only, so if you don’t have a reservation get-”
He stops as he looks at his clipboard, one of his eyebrows raising. He speaks looking back at us.
“You’re name’s are Emily, Dar and Aubrey right?”
How does he know my name… I look at Dar and Aubrey who looked just as shocked as me and I speak, looking as more stern than I had been the entire week.
“How in aww dah wowwd, do 'ou know fwuffy’s name!”
And sighs and looks at the clipboard again, speaking in a monotone voice.
“Ol Three Eyes put you down, you friends of his? Weird…”
Dar chimes in with a voice of rising concern.
“Who dah heww am Fwee Eyes! Dis am fweakin’ Daw out!”
The puffy speaks, looking back at the clipboard.
“He noted that you’d probably have a reaction like this, come follow me.”
Following the puffy deeper inside the Lounge, I think to myself that I should have brought my sword. Is this Three Eye’s some sort of stalker, or… What if he’s working for Elohim! We reach the most back part of the lounge, where there was a notable lack of people, with a dingy feeling in the air. And the Puffy goes up to a room with light emitting under the door and knocks on it, speaking.
“Three Eyes, the people you put on you’re reservation are-”
There is an interruption as I hear a puffy voice inside the room, it being a slow, low ethereal type of voice.
“I’ve seen this, come in…”
The puffy servant nods to us and begins to leave, and with me wanting to get to the bottom of this I open the door and head to meet this “Three Eyes” The place was not what I expected at all, the room was like a house but all crammed into one. with it being ugly, filthy and smelling like something had died a few weeks ago. But the strangest thing in this room was the person sat at it’s center, him holding a lantern. He was a tiny malnourished looking puffy, his dark green feathers and filthy orange cat body being matted and unwashed. He wore several layers of dark robes, with multiple necklaces with strange symbols. But out of all of this, there was one thing that made be almost gag, and made me understand why he was called “Three Eyes” On his forehead there was a crude circular incision, where I could clearly see his brain.
“Dah fuck!”
Aubrey yelled, looking extremely queasy and like she was going to faint. Three Eyes began to cackle but was quickly cut off as I looked right at him and spoke harshly.
“How 'ou know ouw names 'ou wunatic!”
Three Eyes giggles and gives a crooked smile, before speaking.
“I’ve seen it! I know it! It was you’re destiny to meet me!”
Even more confused I was about to shout, but Three Eyes spoke again.
“The visions, they showed me! They showed me Elohim, they showed me the crumbling tower, they showed me Enoch, and most important of all… You!”
How did he know all of this! All this vision and destiny crap is insane! Dar speaks, showing concern.
“Wook just gib us an honest answew!”
Three Eyes speaks, getting up.
“Oh I am, I got it from here!”
He points to the hole in his head and speaks again.
“I brought you here to show you something… Something to help you in you’re fight against that most horrible Elohim.”
I speak, starting to get slightly invested and curious.
“What am it!?”
Three Eyes smiles and speaks.
“Do you even know what he is? Where he came from? After many vision quests I know and you are apart of it! I think this knowledge could help defeat him, I just need you…”
Need me? Three Eyes seemed to have gone to a small chest and pulled something out, a ball shaped item. And after seeing him cover his beak with one of his many robes and tearing something off the object he rolls it across, to us. Suddenly gas started to fill the room and before I even had a chance to react I inhaled it and felt myself getting weak. I see both Dar and Aubrey fall to the ground , as I do the same. The last thing I see is Three Eyes approach me with a bowl and what I think is a scalpel, and pointing it at my forehead he speaks in a slightly somber voice.
"I’m sorry about this… It’s only going to be a small piece that I need to take.
After that I feel myself inhale some sort of powder, and close my eyes. Entering the world of visions…
I wake up not in the room but in some sort of strange dark cloudy area. The clouds are so thick and all covering I can see nothing at all, and after looking around for a few moments I hear a voice coming from above, Three Eyes voice.
“Yes, yes, this will do…”
His voice was unlike that I had heard before, it sounded focused, clear and most stunning of all sane. I speak looking up.
“What hab 'ou’be done to Emiwy!”
I hear nothing more a moment, than the clouds disappear and I am surrounded by total darkness than Three Eyes speaks.
“Just took a small piece of the pink stuff, the powder should be working now…”
Pink stuff? I was about to speak, than Three Eyes interrupted me.
“Ok the first vision is coming, You’d best keep an open mind. No pun intended…”
The darkness disappears and I find myself at the bottom of a small grassy hill, with it being daytime. I am confused by what this means and I speak, looking up to the sky.
“Why did ‘ou bwin’ fwuffy hewe?”
Three Eyes speaks.
“This vision shows you Elohim’s world, as he is not from ours.”
I nod slowly and begin to climb, and when I quickly get to the top I am met by a sight straight out of an adventure novel.
Infront of me was a gleaming city, a city of steel and concrete. It being so large I knew it was larger than even Inner Motor. And not just that, I saw those large metal tubes at bomber bay flying in the air but there was no rust on them and they traveled faster than anything. I spoke in complete astonishment.
“What am dis pwace!? Ewohim weawwy wibed hewe?”
“For you’re second question, no. This is just a snapshot of the type of civilization he grew up in, and what he sees as his world. And for the first question, follow the river.”
Looking towards the river I begin following it, not knowing what Three Eyes meant until I saw it… The Imperial Palace! It was not like how I remembered with it being spotless and standing amongst buildings that were about the same size as it. And than I saw the arena, it looking spotless as well. And I felt myself think, what happened? Three Eyes seemed to have read my mind as he spoke.
“Sadly this world wouldn’t last, as you see there is one thing both worlds have in common…”
the ground began to shake violently and I saw as the buildings of the city began collapsing one by one and than BANG! A could in the shape of a mushroom rose above the skyline and I saw as a cloud of dust and wreckage came at me, than as my entire body filled with terror everything became black again.
After a few moments of collecting myself, I spoke again.
“Su ouw ancestows weawwy buiwt aww of that? Dah wowwd needs to know about dis!”
Three Eyes speaks with a low tone.
“No they didn’t… What you see was built by Elohim’s race, a vision of a past very long ago.”
What? I speak, sounding both confused and shocked.
“He’s not one of us?”
“He is the last of his kind you see.”
“Den what about us Fwee Eyes!?”
“That question… I have not been shown the answer yet.”
For the next few minutes I sat in complete silence. So this is where Elohim came from, his original people? I had no idea how he was even still alive, or how he became so powerful.
I feel myself flinch as Three Eye’s speaks out of nowhere, his voice still loud but getting slightly weaker.
"Another vision has appeared, this one much more valuable. With that I feel myself starting to be transported.
When I start looking around I notice that I am in some sort of very fancy office. There were trophies and awards everywhere with most being objects I couldn’t recognize. And that wasn’t the only strange thing, you also had the furniture, With it being both large and tall, like it was made for a being several times larger than me. And when I looked up I can barely see a desk sign.
[Hasbio Incorporated: Chief Executive Officer & Founder]
[Stewart Elohiemer]
Not even two seconds after I glance at the sign I hear the sound of loud footsteps and the muffled voices of two men. As they come closer I Instinctively duck to find some cover and the door opens, with the voice of a younger man shouting.
“Mr. Elohiemer when the board hears the leaks, there going to oust you from the company!”
While the man talks I peek a bit to see what they look like, and I feel disappointed. Both men where lengthy (Them easily able to use the furniture) But where covered is a thick coat of clouds and smoke making it impossible to tell what they look like. I next hear the sound of a much older scratchier voice, with a cloud being sitting at the CEO’s desk.
“THAN DAMN THEM STRAIGHT TO HELL JACOB!”
The younger voice speaks again, throwing papers on the desk and having a harsher tone.
“Misusing company funds! Canceling several late development projects! Building a whole secret sub basement complex under Headquarters! Sir you could possibly go to prison!”
The older voice speaks.
“There won’t be any more prisons by the end of the year Jacob…”
The voice shouts, even louder this time.
“DON’T GIVE ME THAT WHOLE END OF THE WORLD BULLSHIT STEWERT!”
A sigh comes from the older voice and he speaks.
“I tried denying it a first Jacob, but it is true… Do you really think the Eurasians and those commies are going to give up because Stevenson said something about reconciliation? How fucking Juvenile…”
There is silence for a moment, and the older voice notices this and get’s up and put’s his hand on the others shoulder and speaks again.
“Jacob it may seem what I am doing is criminal and crazy, but you have to believe me. This work is for the survival of all mankind, for the greater good…”
The younger voice speaks, a lot more calmer and somber.
“Sir but what about the board. If you are gone, I am to. This job is all I have…”
The older voices speaks, giving a quiet sigh.
“I’ve heard very good things about the Chrysalis project, developed in Chicago is it? Give them that to chew on for now.”
I swear I saw the a figure nod as it started heading towards the door, with the older voice speaking again, stopping the figure."
“Jacob one last thing! I’d like to thank you during these hard times. You’re work on both project Eve and Fountain, and also not being some yes-man or idol worshipper have been you’re best attributes. Sadly I’ll probably never see you again, so if an afterlife exists I hope it treats you kindly… Goodbye.”
Darkness started filling my vision again and before I knew it I was back in the dark and cloudy space. Than I heard a voice from above.
“Telling wasn’t it?.”
I had almost forgotten that Three Eyes was with me and after a few moments I spoke.
“That was him wight?”
I took the silence as a yes. I couldn’t believe what I had learned, Elohim was once CEO of some company way back when, and he seemed to be in trouble! But I guess he was right about the whole world ending in the end… Three Eyes speaks, it sounding softer and weaker.
“I think there is enough for one more vision, weak and most abstract it is though.”
I nod and the clouds begin disappearing, and before I knew it I was down a dark metal corridor. The air here was thick and cold, and by the dust I knew the place had been deserted for centuries. I walk down the corridor, trying to find any clues I can. Than the corridor splits and I come across a sign, still barely visible.
[Hasbio Headquarters Sub Basement]
[Left Wing-Fire Escape, Fallout shelter, Research Offices, Product Vat’s, Break Room]
[Right Wing-Reactor Control Room, Project Eve]
Reading the sign I felt myself being full of dread, so this place is what he was secretly building. Feeling both curious and a unnatural urge I begin to walk right, wanting to know what Project Eve was. It was around 2 minutes of walking that I saw something other than dark corridors or dust, a blue light. Or was it 2? The blue lights looked like it was some sort of liquid kept in a container, and submerged in it I saw what looked like a lengthy body. What was it!? I had to know now, and as I kept walking I thought I heard a faint voice coming from above.
“Stop! Stop!”
No I can’t… I heard the faint voice again. even quieter this time.
“I gave her to much powder, I think she’s having a seizure!”
I was so close to figuring out what it was now, any moment! I heard the fainant of voices in the back of my head.
“3, 2, 1, Inject!”
Than just like that everything went dark, and I felt like I was asleep…
When I opened my eyes again, I was greeted by the ground and a pounding headache. Starting to get up the first thing I see is the early morning sky, than quickly after that the Shield of Chicago towering above. I was no longer in a vision, where were was Three Eye’s and the others? Quickly the latter was answered as I saw that I was outside the lounge with both Dar and Aubrey beside me, both still sleeping. I speak to Dar, putting a hoove on my throbbing head.
“Daw, Aubwey, wakies!”
Aubrey began to awake slowly, while Dar still seemed asleep, and as I fully got myself up I puked harder than I ever did before. And as my head pointed down I looked to see a small wooden box. Than just as I was about to pick it up, Aubrey let out a blood curdling scream and shouted.
“EMIWY, AM FACE!”
What!? I looked to see Aubrey’s horrified look and saw Dar spring up, the scream awakening him. As I looked at Dar I was struck by the same horror Aubrey was, Dar’s face… On his face there was now a large stitched up wound that started at the up how his right eye and went all the way across his forehead, and it looked bad.
I felt like I was going to puke again, and Dar looked at me horrified and shocked. speaking as he held his head.
“Daw’s head huwts su much! Emiwy wooked at what he did to 'ou!”
As I went to a puddle of water, I looked at me reflection. Same as Dar, stitches running up my forehead… I speak, putting my hoove on my stitches.
“We- We- We hab to get back! Nao!”
Just as I finished saying that, the door to the lounge opened and I saw the Puffy who lead us to Three Eyes. He was probably about to head home, but I was having none of it. I shout at him, as he saw us and looked shocked.
“Whewe am fwee Eye’s!”
He spoke, looking terrified.
“He left hours ago!”
I had started to walk towards him when he bolted, leaving us behind completely. And Aubrey looks at me and speaks.
“Ughhhh, Emiwy am goin’ to wan’ to see dis…”
Looking I saw that Aubrey was in the place I was, and had opened the wooden box that was beside me. Going up to her, I grabbed it, and what I saw made gag. A piece of my brain and a not lay in the box, and after a few moments of hesitation I grab the note and open it.
[It’s needed to take out a tiny piece for visions, keep it as a souvenir. (P.S) Don’t try to find me.]
[-SevenDall “Three Eyes”]
We began to walk home not longer after me reading that. It was silent at first, than as we walked I decided to share some of the visions I had. Both Dar and Aubrey seemed skeptical of these and I couldn’t blame them, after all of that I never want to go out again. I tried asking Dar about if he had any visions, but he flinched every time I asked and kept dismissing me, and trying to change the question. That was until we had reached the Embassy and as we were about to enter Dar held me back as Aubrey went ahead of us.
“Emiwy Daw wan’s to tawk to 'ou about somethin.”
I looked at him and saw he looked pale, almost ghastly. He spoke with a bit of a quiver.
“What Daw saw… It’s dah stuff of nightmawes to be honest. Ebewyone fwuffy ebah wobed swaughtewed by Nuuk’s, Stabwewot in wuin an fwames. An’ dah cowpse piwes, it wooked an’ fewt su weaw.”
Dar began to silently cry and I gave him a hug. He looked at me speaking again.
“An’ dah wast’ bision, oh nu, oh nu.”
Dar falls to the floor, and I sit next to him and speak.
“It’s otay’! what did 'ou see!?”
Dar takes several deep breaths and speaks, more seriously than I had ever seen before.
“Daw saw Chawwes an’ Ix, an’ some othah fwuffie Daw couwdn’t identifie. Dey wewe aww at dis owd house, wiff them wookin’ fo’ somethin’. buh dey wewen’t awone! A howwibwe munsta had fowwowed them inside an’, an’, oh nu. Dey am in bewy deep twoubwe…” Fin
Well, that took awhile… I’ll like to give a thank you to everyone who commented on my previous post, you’re words meant a lot. I hope you enjoyed this oh so fashionably late “Halloween special” and if the next part takes a few more day’s than usual, it’s probably just me getting back into things. I can’t wait to get started on the next part, it’s going to be even crazier! Have a good day as always!
