“Make am countwies pwoud boys, etewnaw gwowy west upon 'ou!”
[The last part of the speech given by Duke Somer to the soldiers of the first wave before they departed]

When the news that the first wave had achieved a breakthrough, the celebrations across the camp were like we had already won the war. Those soldiers had faced the Nuuk’s and won, and were now in Pandemon’s territory. Despite this great victory the celebration was rather short as merely an hour after getting the news, Somer ordered us all to the front to set new positions. Getting in the wagons with no time to spare we left, leaving the Camp looking like a ghost town. Looking at the camp for the last time Charles speaks, him looking at it as well.
“Bet that pwace won’t be empty wong, Somah has pwobabwy awweady sent a wettah fo’ weinfowments. Pwace am goin’ to be obewfwowin’ again next week.”
Dar speaks, following up what Charles had to say.
“‘Ou think he’s comin’ wiff us?”
Charles speaks.
“Who knows, he maybeh nee’ to stay fo’ dah weinfowments. Maybeh dey hab a compwetewy diffewent pewson fo’ actuaw combat.”
Charles sighs and speaks again, this time looking at the front.
“Time to finawwy see what dis pandemon pwace am wike, been cuwious fo’ ages.”

After some long quiet travel, we reached Pandemon. Crossing the border the only thing telling us being a sign left by some scouts, you wouldn’t you crossed anything. It was still just mostly light forest, with the occasional plains or pre civilization ruin. This all changed though when we got to a large open plain, and saw the first signs of war… Over a hundred Motor and Chicago soldiers were hanging from hastily constructed beams, the sight so horrible I almost threw up. I speak as we see the bodies.
"Dah fuck happened hewe!?
Soon we’d get our answer though, as we approached the first body a sign hanged from it.
[Cowardice]
The next one
[Desertion]
And after that…
[Refusal to follow orders]
And the rest of them had similar crimes, they were executed. I speak as we passed the bodies, looking at my comrades and other soldiers they had similar expressions as I.
“Who was dah one to owdah aww of dis!”
I nor did anyone else know and we had no time to ponder it as when looking at the front we began seeing wagons coming at us, us only seeing the drivers.
I speak, trying to get the attention of the closest driver.
“What happened he-”
Dear Anu…

In the closest wagon I could see dozens of dead bodies stacked upon each other, flies were all over the corpses, them having various levels of attack wounds (One really horrific example was a soldier who had his jaw ripped off and shoved down his throat…) Instantly I Dar and Charles gagged, with Ix pointing out of the wagon and throwing up. As we passed that wagon and went on to the overs, it was the same story. Those dead from battle, so, so many. After a few more hours of traveling, seeing horrible sights of battle (When we came across the first corpse pile of Nuuk’s many of the soldiers were in shock, seeing these monsters for the first time) We had arrived at the new “Camp” it being nothing more than a hundred or so canopies. Instantly when we entered the Camp we saw the injured, them almost outnumbering the non injured soldiers. Ix speaks as the wagon travels to the center.
“There’s no way medics are going to be able to treat all of them, horrible!”
I speak, feeling chillingly cold despite the summer warmth.
“Dis doesn’t eben feew wike a bictowy…”

Arriving at the center of the Camp there we saw the only real tent, the quarters of the commander that lead this battle. Instantly I saw two Talon knights guarding it, I now knowing who I was dealing with. Getting off our wagon me and my comrades walk towards the Tent, one of the Knights speaking as we arrived.
“Who goes there!”
I speak, not hiding my disdain.
“It am I, Emiwy. A Commandah of dah Motow Woyaw Guawd, fwuffy nee’ to speak to dah pewson wunnin’ dis Camp.”
The guards hesitate for a moment but after a mean stare they let us in, me almost shaking I was so mad.

Inside the tent there were around a dozen or so high ranking Talon Knights, them surrounding the same type of planning table Somer used. The second we enter they all look at us and I speak, dropping the disdain and replacing it with outrage.
“Emiwy needs to see dah dah commandah of dis camp NAO!
This whisper amongst each other but eventually a Talon Knight in the front of the table walks over to us, him having brown fathers feathers and a black body and an eyepatch and long scar across his left eye. Once he stops he speaks in a low annoyed king of defensive voice.
“I am Hawkes, commander of this base. What is it…
I speak.
“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE! Hawf dead sowdiews wittewin’ dis base, obah hundwed of them hangin’ dead! An’ not to mention some of them am ouw own, fwuffy shouwd send a wettah to Enoch, 'ou hab nu authowity obah that!”
The high ranking Talon knights begin shouting at me, expressing outrage. Hawkes noticing this looks back at the them and than raises his Talon and slowly lowers it, telling them to quiet down. After they quiet down he looks back at me, speaking with a slightly faint smile.
“I don’t think you understand what is going on here, ugh… Royal Guard Commander, is it? You see when we first got here the initial shock of this place, those barbaric Nuuk’s, and just how undisciplined Motor’s and even some of our soldiers were. Well just say there needed to be some lessons taught… I had some of the worst executed to teach the others a lesson, and look we won the battle.”
I speak, feeling my teeth grind together in rage.

WHO GABE 'OU DIS AUTHOWITY!
Hawkes clears his throat and speaks.
“It was GrandMaster Vissarman and Enoch who gave me this authority. Vissarman giving me this assignment, to get a breakthrough. And Enoch giving the decree that officers of other nations are allowed to have command over his troops, if of course there is no Motor officer.”
I am left speechless, choking on my own words. Hawkes speaks casually.
“Technically because of the way you spoke to me just now and me being you’re superior officer, I could have you landed in prison, but due to your obvious ignorance and, I will allow this excused. And for the wounded, you are right that the situation is unexpectable. The Nuuk’s the proved deadly opponents, far worse than we thought, and because of an error we are short staffed on medical personal.”
Still speechless, Hawkes continues.
“But that doesn’t matter know, I’ve sent a letter for reinforments. We must now focus on this war, and I have an assignment for the Motor Royal Guard. Scouts have found a prime location for an actual base, it being a Pandemon logistics hub. The Royal Guard will be leading the charge in capturing it tomorrow. Go now, you’d best get rest for the attack. We are counting on this hub greatly.”

I quickly leave the tent, feeling a sense defeat. My other comrades catch up to me and Charles speaks.
“What hawkes am doin’ am beyond wwong! Enoch needs-”
I speak, a bit of the previous anger resurfacing.
“Dewe’s nothin’ we can do, he has dah authowity to do whatebah he wants! ‘Ou wan’ to end up in pwison Chawwes, ow eben hanged!? just… Wet’s just keep cwose see-pwace on him, make suwe nothin’ wowse happens as we fite dis thin’. Wet’s go…”
With that we leave and head towards the Royal Guard section of the base, me trying my best to focus on tomorrows fight. Fin
