Moving Friends:
This micro fluffy variant are soft and have squeezability similar to packing peanuts allowing them to survive certain degrees of pressure/weight and manage to retake their original shape afterwards.
They consider all but the most extreme squishing and squeezing as ‘huggies’ and are programmed to associate cardboard boxes as ‘Happy box’ instead of the standard sorry box making their time in confined spaces pleasant. They are more apt to suffer injuring from rip / tearing but they are remarkably resilient and tend to suffer little lasting pain from the experience though they may express sadness over loss of legs/ears/snouts/torso’s/etc so caution is advised. Due to slow rate of fall and suffering little from impacts Pegasus types may often try and jump off of things to try and fly if given the chance.
When cardboard boxes are closed they are programmed to get sleepy similar to birds and will begin eventually hibernating requiring no food for several weeks if feed earlier that day. They will regain consciousness when the box is opened and they are exposed to light.
The hibernation feature is also triggered when squished beyond a certain point that they have trouble breathing as a survival mechanism and when pressure is released and they regain their form and oxygen they regain consciousness. For health and longevity reasons it is recommend to not hibernate moving friends again for an extended period after they’ve been sleeping for any duration longer then a week without an almost equal amount of time spent living a normal sleep and activity cycle.
In lieu of the standard digestive system / anus these fluffies have exterior pores that allow them to exhale a slight ‘powder’ in mild wheezing puff like farts like a sparkly cloud making it obvious what needs a mild wipe down with a cloth/Swiffer.
They eat a feed that is similar to nutrigel but slightly heavier on the gel/plastic/collagen to aid in their ability to recover their original shape over time as the body sheds the damaged bits and expels it through the pores with general waste. To help prevent ferals like other commercial lines the moving friends are designed so that they cannot process most normal food.
This line can survive on normal nutrigel in a pinch if they are simply being kept as general pets but they will likely indicate that it is ‘nu taste pwetty’ and the dust they produce will simply be brown like a fine dirt and have a mild smell to it similar to feces. Deceased Moving Friends can still be used for their original function but it is suggested storing them and packing them in separate boxes from living ones. Deceased moving friends however will begin to suffer degradation and inability to retake their original shape as they’re squished, pressed and flattened after this point.
When ready to dispose of them you can immerse them in warm water until they dissolve and then let them flow down the drain ; alternatively you might consider using them for / donating / selling them to worm/insect farmers as they can break down the bodies safely and still remain commercially viable as feed insects.
