Paul’s neglect seemed to be instantaneous, which feels strange after his seemingly happy interactions with Blueberry and Nana in the last chapter.

But not everyone gets a happy ending I guess. Even if Nana and Blueberry were bought to alleviate Mustard’s loneliness, the lack of care and knowledge of Fluffy handling led them a hurtful end.
