To be fair, past the initial “that’s not a fluffy”, there was constructive criticism and reasons expressed why people held that view.
Things really weren’t an argument, and citing “attacking new artists” as a thing in this particular situation ignores the rest of @Julie 's work which is honestly quite good, and of note @Za has been involved in some of that work.
You tried to make a discussion of aesthetics into a situation with a moral high ground and managed to look like an ignorant attempted white knight.
