Most fluffies are very sweet, cuddly and selfless. Most would even give their own life to save a fluffy they don’t even know. But some fluffies have an issue. It is dubbed a “smarty complex”.
Smarty complexes are more common in feral herds, as there is no human guidance and the fluffies are left to their own devices. Therefore, the loudest and “bestest” fluffy is given the title of leader. Although, the smarty complex can happen in domestic fluffies. However rare it is, it still happens.
Smarty complexes have multiple causes. Perhaps they were overly spoiled by a “bad mummah” as her favorite baby when they were a foal. This would cause them to believe they are the “bestest fwuffy” and are better than everyone else.
They may believe they are at the top of the heirachy of their household. This usually happens with overly egotistical fluffies that are newly adopted. Until the owner properly disciplines them, they think of themselves as the head of the house, calling all the shots. This can also happen with fluffies that have owners who never punish them and always do what they want. In that case, the fluffy is the head of the house and that is never a good thing, as fluffies are not all that intelligent.
Sometimes they’re just heavily aggressive for little to no reason. The fluffy wants what it wants, and if it doesn’t get it it either has a tantrum, threatens the owner, takes their aggression out on the nearest living thing that isn’t its owner (Including other household pets/fluffies and humans) or straight-up attacks the owner. This is the equivalent of a dog attempting to attack a human for no reason, and should never be tolerated.
Usually, these fluffies are very sweet, until they don’t get what they want. Or they may not be in the best mood, so their aggressive tendencies spike, even if it’s not their intention to harm others.
When a fluffy’s smarty complex is acting up, the fluffy will no longer refer to their owner with parental titles. They will likely just call the owner by an insult, by the human’s name, or just “hooman”. (Fluffies who respect their human but would rather use their owner’s real name can use real names without intending to be disrespectful).
