Most headcanons I’ve seen has depressed mares “healed” by new foals but there’s something wonderfully depressing about a mare who can’t love her new babbehs because they aren’t her old litter

I had a headcanon similar to this, but the mare would eventually mentally revert to a chirpy state without intervention.
