Runts are smaller than their siblings at birth. Usually rejected by the mother for being different than the other foals.

Runts are often being given out for free from breeders, or a hefty reduced price. My baby girl GSD Bear was sold for $300, while her sister was sold for $500, as Bear was a runt.
