I’ve been a lurker in the fandom for almost a year now and I thought I’d give making my own content a try. So here you have it. Enjoy some hugbox-ish neutralbox kinda stuff.

You guys have no idea how many baby pony pictures I used as a reference for these doodles since semi realistic proportions are the only thing I’m good at.

I like the sparse feathers on the cheeks and bodies of the pegasi, and also just how expressive they are. Really good detail work.

Thank you! But having a more simple style doesn’t mean it’s not as good. Simpler styles allow for more expressive characters and are more efficient. That’s why people tend to go for simpler styles for animation :3

Oh, I know. I chose my approach out of laziness and efficiency for one. But also, trying to come up with all those details? Egad. No, that’s work. Real work :slight_smile:

That’s why you practice til your hand hurts and then practice a bit more.
And try to get out of your comfort zone.
My own art is fairly messy and cartoony and i am trying to get in to digital coloring. ( when manga studio 4 and the tablet finally show up )

Never be afraid to try new things or innovate or move out of your comfort zone.
At worst you can only fail and try again.
