It would at least qualify as destruction of property I would assume, cause as we all know animal cruelty doesnt apply to fluffies.
Where I live up to $1000 is a misdemeanor for property damage which can result in a year in jail. 1-5 thousand is a felony carrying possibly 5 years and anything above 5 grand is possibly 10 years. It varies state to state
