My current plan for either is a hugbox ending for Tilly and/or more pain for the lime green cunt. As for spinel I want to re-tell the story in a more neutralbox/a better ending for spinel.

Poor dude. All the fluffies in these two stories literally got shafted so hard I thought I was playing Minecraft. Even a neutralbox for all of them would be better than what they all got.
Honestly? Stories like those always make me feel like playing some FPS or Action RPG. No reason why. It’s not like I need to kill some pixelated creatures. I am not angry.
I skimmed the farm one , honestly its so over the top it just triggered my HTF response.
It should be totally depressing and brutal, but somehow it’s not.
I loathe those kind of stories. There is nothing to gain from them for me. Am I supposed to feel sad? The games was rigged from the start, it is obvious the fluffy will suffer and die alone. No twist, no sadness of losing something dear. Just sheer annoyance at how randomly dystopian the whole thing is. Even the characters who should be good act like complete morons uncapable of helping the fluffy.
It just pisses me off.
Like, Spinel’s owner literally says “I hope you know I tried everything to make you happy” and can’t bring himself to end his suffering.
He says this while Spinel is asleep, so it’s not even a lie, because he’d be lying to noone.
But he is the same asswipe who pillowed Spinel for breaking something. Yeah. That made him real happy.
Yeah, besides the meme edgy anger, I truly struggle to enjoy stories (or parts of them) that are too reliant on suspension of disbelief or have characters act well, out of character/lose a couple dozen points of IQ to justify something that happens to move the story forward. Can a smart person do something dumb? Yeah, but nailing that convenient 1/10 always irks me.

But the suspension of disbelief in some written stories where they always go for the most extreme form of abuse, does irk me at times as well.

Someone here called it misery porn and I laughed a bit when I read that because cannot think of a better way to describe it.
That is why, in my canon, any normal fluffy would not willingly have a litterpal. They hate grooming themselves and their babies if they make bad poopies or get dirty, what makes you think they’d willingly spray their shit on another of their kind? Assuming the fluffies in question aren’t hellgremlin sociopaths.
I’m going to hve to step in here and say that it’s not cool to shamelessly rip off anyone.
Make your own story inspired by someone else’s work? Sure
Do it with entirely different characters.
But don’t go changing someone else’s story.
That’s not cool.

Understood, I must’ve derived my own meaning when reading the description of Derivative works.
I’ll make sure to make it my own, with how the poll is going I’m pretty sure all I really need to do is come up with some way to torture the Lime cunt while its under anesthesia, while also having it reflected on the dream world.
Of course i’ll give wolfram credit for the original idea and include a link to the original comic, even if everyone here has read it, it deserves every little bit of publicity it can get.
Speaking of which, #derivative-works is going to be changed soon. It’s not clear enough what the section is supposed to be used for or to encourage.
It will probably be changed to Collaborative Works or something similar.
Good idea, I always actually wondered if we needed the originals artists approval to make a derivative work, but if its collaborative then it makes it quite clear it must go both ways.
