Yes. Real life actually has laws and regulations, unlike the fantasy world that fluffyverse takes place in. Actual fluffies would not be allowed onto the market unless they were perfected–the way they were supposed to be. As a pet? why not. It’d be nice to have a pet that can actually speak to you and tell you exactly what’s wrong. There would be laws in place too.
And if there was a breakout of ferels? We already have quick kill traps, but if they’re anything like fiction!fluffies, they wouldn’t survive a day. None of this ‘they’re so pathetic and weak and can explode just by sneezing but can somehow survive being ripped apart, raped, and flayed alive and overtake entire ecosystems and destroy them’ bullshit. That bullshit on its own is already too close to a real-life group’s thoughts about another certain group of peoples. Even uses similar names. But…eh.

I feel they still would be more protected, however. Especially if they’re out there talking like toddlers still.
