Yes, I’ve fluffified two OCs before, but to be honest … I felt like I was cheating with them. They were minor characters with a very simple story easy to convert into fluffyism. So what if I fluffify someone closer to me, with a more complicated and detailed story?
Meet Spear.
Spear can’t recall how or when he ended up on the streets, but he’s fairly sure he wasn’t born there. Being a bat fluff in dark midnight colors, he’s often mistaken for a demon or monster by other fluffies who flee in fear or attack him to try and chase him off (thus the scarring on his flank and chest). He was also able to witness a lot of atrocities caused by the abusive and uncaring humans that were approached by more colorful fluffies, leaving him fearful of both fluffies and people.
He often felt lonely, until his appearance and reputation tricked a local herd into recruiting him as a toughie. At first Spear was happy to have friends, but he wasn’t one for violence and he soon found that his new herd… well… was.
So, not wanting to take part, Spear abandoned the herd … whose smarty was not used to such actions and thus did not take well to it, refusing to accept his defection and trying to track him back down.
All this has left Spear paranoid and skittish, keeping to himself and hiding away if anyone sees him, though he will still try to help if any fluffies nearby are being bullied. That said, his fearful behaviour doesn’t mean he can’t get caught off guard.
He just wants to get back to whatever life he had before he ended up on the streets, somewhere nice and safe. If only he had any idea where to start!
That said, since he’s based on an existing character, I won’t make a proper story or anything - thus why I’m fine with explaining the whole backdrop in a text dump like this. And that said, his problems and paranoia regarding safe places did remind me of someone else …
