A little something in the comments is the key here I think. I’m guessing it’s that terrible owner chasing after the fluffy in the linked comic after her previous fluffy tried running away.

Surprise twist, it is actually just Xavier once he is released from prison. He dresses up and becomes his ideal form of Kathi (because we already know he is a bit mental) and that is him in both drawings.

A hugboxer running from her abuser boyfriend, after she found out his terrible secret that he likes hurting fluffballs more than hugging them. She wanted to surprise him with a date, since it’s was their 3rd anniversary since they started dating. He shoulda remembered it.
As the abuser boyfriend is literally kneedeep in fluffy intestines, he don’t have a chance to catch up to her, and asks her politely to come back so that he can explain himself(PROTIP: He can’t)
