Honestly this is just Swindle being himself. Remember everyone, this is the same con who within moments of realizing he was the only survivor of the rest of his team getting blown to pieces, decided it was a perfectly good idea to sell them as spare parts to anyone and everyone willing to pay him. Plus being the equivalent of a used car salesman and conman is his whole shtick anyways.
Still don’t know how or why he ended up as part of the Combaticons.
