You kinda regret what you did to her one month ago. It was necessary, yes, but you hit her too much due to also being stressed about work.
Now Mimi got a few scars, is blind on one of her eyes, and doesn’t smile anymore.
Your kid got scared about the state you left Mimi that day, but also somehow knew she deserved it. She was forced to clean her room in that outburst aswell.
She still receives cuddles and hugs, but doesn’t smile anymore, just a empty coo or chirp here and there.
She didn’t even react or cry when you took Mr. Bunny for cleaning, she just… Stared.
I swear, if your character’s idea is to give in to the demands and give her the foals she asked for to make her happy, I’ll come into your story and eat that guy. joke bro, but please, don’t give her foals. it’s always the solution. and it’s easy.
I don’t know if theres any going back to the way things were before she was broken by that savage beating. Im also surprised it didn’t derp her hitting her on the head that hard.
the dichotomy of the fluffy, if you are too hard they break and if you are too permissive they rot. it seems that their destiny is inevitably to suffer.
I’m currently raising a kitten and this tapped into my fears about accidentally stepping on her or injuring her. Ooof. Gonna find her and give her a little smorch on the head.
If it helps any, I’ve taken care of cats my entire life, and I’ve accidentally stepped on, rolled over onto, and otherwise accidentally collided with them all, and I’ve never had any problem with them seeming to understand it as an accident, as long as I immediately check they’re ok and give them attention and pets to reassure them I didn’t mean to harm them. Cats ( and dogs, I’m told ) do have the ability to understand that sort of thing.
As for this fluffy, lesson learned. Not a great idea to hit it in the face, as now its half blind and somewhat disabled, but overall it has stopped being a brat and asking to have foals. If its being too depressing, perhaps its time to start letting it overhear you talking to ‘someone’ about how the fluffy isn’t being happy anymore, and how you might have to replace it…
Or just get rid of it and get a real pet. Whichever.
Don’t make the mistake of giving him what he wants, otherwise everything you went through will be useless, and even more so if you don’t want the situation to repeat itself in the future, remember that the reward system will only cause him to demand more things in the future

I wouldn’t be surprised if the kid agreed Mimi deserved it because she was scared of being hurt herself otherwise. I know I would have been.
