The sun shined brightly on you’re face. He was standing there Xerxes he wore a large yellow helmet you couldn’t see his face and on his body he was covered in heavy armor. Looking up at the crowd it tripled since the last time you were here than Xerxes looks down at you and speaks. “Xewxes heawd a wot of things about ‘ou Souw a wot of dah peopwe who end up facin’ Xewxes am dishonowabwe cowawds buh 'ou… 'ou am diffewent Xewxes wespect that.” I was going to respond I was feeling pretty nervous but before I could speak the announcer spoke “FOWKS DAH MATCH ‘OU AWW BEEN WAITIN’ FO’ XEWXES BS SOUW! WHO WIWW WIN WHO WIWW BE CHAMPION!” The crowd was going nuts and the bell rings Xerxes speaks. “‘Ou weady to put on a show? am feewin’ chawitabwe iww wet 'ou stwike fiwst.” Feeling myself shaking I pull out Excalibur and strike Xerxes left shoulder with all my might. The blade bounced off Xerxes armor completely. Xerxes looks at the small dent in his armor looks back at me and responds. “hmm not bad buh nao’s it Xewxes tuwn.” Xerxes pulls out his morning star and strikes me.
I get thrown across the arena when I crash to the floor I am completely out of breath. My armor is now extremely damaged with pieces of it falling off I can’t stop coughing. getting back up I can see Xerxes walking towards me I know I have to act fast Xerxes swings his morning star I by some miracle was able to dodge it. My entire body was in pain and I started feeling scared I ran back trying to gain some distance between us and think of a way to defeat him. it seemed to work because of Xerxes large size he wasn’t able to move that fast I had to think of a way to defeat him he had to have a weakness. Suddenly Xerxes charged at me full force surprised I was able to get mostly out of the way but he still hit me. I flew back hitting a wall he didn’t hit me as hard as last time but I felt even worse than before but I noticed something. Xerxes always tried to be infront of me while fighting and I could see why as in the back his armor was a lot more lighter as that was the place where all the knots keeping his the armor on were. I had to find a way to distract him long enough and to attack his back so with a deep breath and grabbing Excalibur I attack.
As I was approching Xerxes he responded “am stwongah an’ bwabah den most Souw. Am pwobabwy dah wongest pewson to ebah be in dah awena wiff Xewxes. Buh we aww know it’s time to end dis show!” Just as I expected when Xerxes finishes speaking he raises his morning star but instead of going for a forward attack what Xerxes is expecting. I take a turn to the left getting behind the surprised Xerxes and swinging Excalibur against his back. For a split second the entire crowd frozen in silence I didn’t swing Excalibur that hard but several of the knots broke and there is a little bit of blood. Aa Xerxes turns around several pieces of his armor start falling off revealing his at that point unseen beige coat Xerxes feels his back with right hoof there’s now a small amount of blood on it and Xerxes looks at me. “Isn’t that unexpected guess easy mode am obah nao!” As he says that it’s the first time I heard Xerxes sounding angry. He swings his morning star harder than ever before I get hit stupidly not paying attention still in shock about what I just did. I fly and hit the wall I hear something crack inside my body the last bits of armor that were on me fall off the pain is excruciating. Xerxes starts approaching me he moves a lot faster than before. Forcing my body I roll and dodge his attack. Xerxes morning star gets stuck in the wall with him swinging it so hard I hear him breathing even he sounds exhausted since the fight has lasted longer than expected he is pushing himself out more to try to end the fight. Seizing the moment I strike Xerxes undefended shoulder Xerxes screams in pain blood is coming out. At the same time I striked Xerxes he was able to pull out morning star but something very strange happened.
For the first few moments things seemed normal Xerxes wasn’t able to swing as fast he was also completely silent I dodged the attacks but then he stopped it sounded like her was throwing up than he spoke. “Oh no! Oh no! it cant end like thi!-” Xerxes says this is a scared and desperate tone than he collapses the crowd is completely silent with some even having looks of fear. Xerxes takes off his helmet underneath the mask was a old stallion with a black graying mane and he was gasping for air even throwing up. I had no idea what was happening so Rushing towards him he speaks “am ‘ou goin’ to do it!” Xerxes was looking at Excalibur which at the time I was still holding he had his hoof on his chest it was going up and down rapidly looking into his eyes they were full of horror and even a few tears. The entire arena was looking at me in complete shock and silence hearing Xerxes words I thought about them for a second than taking a deep breath and closing my eyes.
I drop Excalibur “nu Souw won’t dis isn’t wite!” I could hear the crowd gasping Xerxes responds “why nao’s am chance am 'ou a idiot nu ‘ou wan’ to be champion!” I respond yelling as loud as I can so as many people as possible can hear. “It was nebah about that stoopi’ titwe Souw did dis to speak to King’ Maximus Souw needs to speak to him it maybeh be dah onwy way to get justice fo’ souws famiwy!” The entire arena erupts in whispers than the announcer spoke “ugh… open dah gate dammit!” The bell rings and the gates open several fluffies are rushing towards Xerxes with medical supplies I grab Excalibur and begin to limp back than the announcer spoke. “Since Souw wefused to kiww Xewxes he wiww keep dah titwe of champion cheah fo’ him!” The announcer tried to sounded exited to get people to cheer but everything was so shocking and unexpected it was completely silent. Aa I was walking back defeated I began sheading a few tears everything I was working towards was ruined I had failed Them. Then when I was almost at the exit Xerxes spoke. “Nu dammit! Souw just wefused to kiww a fawwen opponent Souw just gabe up what most wouwd die fo’! Xewxes cedes dah championship!” The crowd gasped again looking back in shock I saw Xerxes he was now back up after being given some medical treatment than after a few seconds of processing this information cheers erupted from the crowd much rather choosing Xerxes answer for champion rather than the arena’s. The announcer spoke. “Weawwy Cewxes 'ou’ww nebah be awwowed back hewe again!” Xerxes speaks “nu wowwy am done fighting Xewxes wetiwe!” Xerxes approaches me. “'Ou wefused to do what most wouwd hab su wet Xewxes do dah same.” I give Xerxes a hug with him giving one back I started to sob we begin heading to the medical wing so that I could get treated for my injuries.
At the medical wing while healing Xerxes told me his life story. How he grew up in Breadbasket and fought in he bandit wars. He talked about his three sons and two daughters and how he ended up fighting in the arena and even told me the name of his morning star weapon which he called Shelby. he said he named it that in tribute of his dead wife and talked about how much he missed her. And in turn I talked about my life my family meeting my uncle Merlin. Willy and Monica my fight with bloody Mary learning DarkWing was behind it and training with Driscoll. We were preparing for the parade and the walk to the Imperial Palace it seemed under a loophole in the arena rules since Xerxes gave me the victory but was technically also retiring both of us were allowed to attend the dinner. As I finished collecting the last of my things ready to head to the parade I saw 4 familiar faces enter the medical wing “Nebah do anythin’ wike that ebah again!” I was completely surprised Monica had run up to me she sounded emotional she was giving me a tight hug it hurt a bit with all my injuries but still felt nice. Merlin came in and spoke “Mewwin nu can bewiebe it ended wike that! Am su pwoud of 'ou kid!” Merlin speaking in a proud tone gave me a hug as well than Willy came in and spoke “Wiwwy su happy daddeh otay!” Willy said this in a happy tone and he also joined in giving me a squeeze hug and it didn’t end there Driscoll came in and spoke “that was one heww of a show!” Driscoll spoke in a tone sounding even more proud than Merlin he finding what little space was left gave me a hug. I look at Xerxes he was looking at me trying with all his might not to laugh. But the feelings of embarrassment quickly got replaced with a feeling of relief and love. After such a long day of fighting and death reuniting with my friends and family was one of the best things I ever felt.
The parade was a spectacle orange banners flew everywhere crows of people were looking. Me and Xerxes were on a giant float heading to the Imperial Palace there were multiple other floats all showing different artwork of battles or historical events it was amazing. And that wasn’t even the best part because of my victory I was able to bring guests so Merlin Monica Willy and Driscoll could join us. Willy was completely awestruck by the the lights since it was now pretty dark when we first left. Merlin was enjoying all the entrees and liquor on the float. and Driscoll and Monica were talking. Looking around not really doing anything I noticed Xerxes looked down going over to ask him why I spoke. “Somethin’ bothewin’ 'ou xewxes 'ou wook down?” Xerxes spoke. “What am xewxes goin’ to do nao?” His head was pointed down “isn’t am famiwy hewe 'ou tawked about them a wot?” Xerxes sighed and speaks “Souw Xewxes nu did mention dis when we spoke buh Xerxes an’ my kids awen’t on gud tewms. Am bein’ honest we haben’t seen each othah in yeaws not since shewby died.” Im quiet for a few seconds than speak “‘ou know it’s nebah to wate to make things wite go an’ see them Xewxes dey pwobabwy miss 'ou.” Xerxes looks out than speaks “‘ou know Souw ‘ou am wite. What am xewxes doin’ aftah dis am goin’ back to Bweadbasket to see them an’ hey if am ebah in dah awea am awways wewcome to come an’ Xewxes.” Xerxes gives me a smile and a pat of the shoulder at this point we had arrived at the Imperial Palace getting off we head inside heading royal Unification day feast.
The Imperial Palace somehow was able to make Bloody Mary’s mansion look humble being escorted by royal guards. The place was covered in all kinds of fine artwork and sculptures it looked like a residence built for a god. Getting on a strange machine a guard hit a button a door closed and we started going up for a few seconds we waited before hearing a door opened. And when it did it was like magic! We were on a completely different floor there was a large table were a bunch of fluffies were sitting down they looked extremely high class looking around I was only able to recognize one it being governor Sandro of Breadbasket. And all the guests were chatting we were escorted to our seats and told when king Maximus comes out to be silent. We ordered our food and for a few minutes talked amongst ourselves then hearing a bell rang we all were silent looking at the fluffy who rang it who was in a fancy piece of armor slowly coming down a staircase and started speaking. “His Majesty Maximus 1st!”
I was in complete shock King Maximus was nothing like I was imagining he walked sickly wore a long dark clock you were unable to see any of his coat or mane and on his face was a metal mask that was in the shape of his face the only thing even recognizable was his crown. Maximus was slowly being walked down by a mare she had a pink coat with blue hair. She was holding Maximus’s hoof trying to make sure he didn’t fall down. When he finally got down he spoke “Am sowwy fo’ my wateness maximus wouwd wike to stawt dis unification day dinnah by sayin’ fank ‘ou to aww fo’ suppowtin’ me in my absence an’ awso to pewsonawwy gib a toast fo’ ouw new an’ wetiwin’ champion.” Maximus looks at me and begins to walk over. I had no idea what I was going to say I had rehearsed it in my head many times but now that I was here I got spoke everything all at once. “am Majesty gobewnow genewaw DawkWing’ owdah dah death oh my famiwy an’ fwuffy wants to take obew!” There was a immediate Silence as I said that now everyone was looking at me and for a few seconds it was quiet than the fluffy in the fancy armor approached King Maximus “Am Majesty do ‘ou wan’ him escowte-” Maximus looks at the fluffy than back at me “these things 'ou say champion am dey twue?” I respond “it’s dah whowe weason souw fought in that awena!” Maximus did’nt speak for a few seconds then looked at the fancy fluffy “send a detachment of dah seaside gawwison to inbestigate dawkwings home.” The fancy fluffy looked flabbergasted “'ou nu can be sewious fwuffy has to be wyin!” Maximus looks at the fluffy again “that’s an owdew! Maximus bewiebes him we aww know how shady DawkWing’ am dis wawwiow fought in dah awena just to see me why wouwd fwuffy wie!” King Maximus than shakes my hoof than leaves heading to his seat everyone slowly starts going back to what they were doing expect for the pink mare who looks at me “am it twue?” I look confused wondering who this mare is than she speaks “of sowwy my name am Bewbet nice to meet ‘ou! what am it Souw? am King’ Maximus’s cawetakah.” I give Velvet a response “yes aww of it” Velvet sighs and looks down for a few seconds than speaks. “Otay’ den it was nice to meet 'ou Bewbet bettah get back to Maximus enjoy dah dinnah.”
For the rest of the time we eat eventually were told King Maximus has to leave and he does and soon we are finished and are escorted out of the Imperial Palace. I say my final goodbyes to Xerxes and with the others hitch a ride on a wagon leaving for Seaside than to green Roof. Monica and Willy are asleep Driscoll is on the same wagon as us looking at the night sky and Merlin who was resting speaks to me “‘ou weawwy think DawkWing gon’ get in twoubwe?” I respond “Souw hope su when Maximus was tawkin’ he sounded wike he bewiebed me wike he awweady had his suspicions confiwmed. Souw thinks dis it it Mewwin once dey discobewed what dawkwin’ has been up to he’s dead.” Merlin speaks “su what nao?” I think for a second than respond “'ou stiww hab those tweasuwe maps?” Merlin gives a grin and a light chuckle “yea” Feeling exhausted after a long day I find a place to sit I drift off to sleep. Epilogue 1 Driscoll
Everyone else had fallen asleep expect for one. Merlin I wanted to tell him at Stablelot but with all the chaos I never had the chance but finally I can speak to him “Mewwin Dwiscoww wants to speak wiff 'ou” Merlin was completely surprised he was tired about to go asleep but when you called him he was more awake than ever. Merlin walks over. “Yeah dwiscoww?” I respond. “When Dwiscoww fiwst saw ‘ou aftah aww those yeaws it was dah most angwiest Dwiscoww ebah been buh once ‘ou apowogized an’ heawin’ am stowy. Pwus spendin’ time wiff am nephew Dwiscoww has made a decision.” Merlin looks down uncertain on what I was going to say I take a deep breath and speak “Dwiscoww wiww nebah fowget what 'ou did those yeaws ago buh Dwiscoww decided to fowgibe 'ou” Merlin responds. “‘Ou hab nu idea how much those wowds mean to me yeaws of wibin’ in wegwet am fowgibeness means su much!” Merlin sheds a few tears I speak “otay’ nu nee’ to get sentimentaw Dwiscoww am tiwed time to get some west nu 'ou say?” After that Me and Merlin head to sleep.
Epilogue 2 DarkWing
You were sitting in a dark dingy jailcell you had no idea what to do. When you heard about Soul the person you were told not to worry about killed you’re son it threw you into a blind rage you were about to order Soul and his associates execution than a bunch of you’re own men showed up at you’re manor saying they were ordered by King Maximus to look around the place. they ransacked the entire manor refusing to stop even when being threatened with execution eventually they found some documents about my dealings that put my ‘loyalties’ into question. I was stripped of all my titles and wealth and thrown into the Seaside jails I now sit here in rags I overheard some of the guards putting my name and hanging in the same sentence suddenly I heard lot’s of footsteps I start preparing for my final moments. Than the door opened and Master Horse was there with a few of his own guards and a prison guard that looked terrified “DawkWing’ gud am hewe fowwow Mastah Howse.” I spoke consumed by rage “WHAT DAH GWANDMASTAH COUWDN’T SHOW UP HIMSEWF HE SAID NOT TO WOWWY DAWKWING SON AM DEAD!” Master horse responded “we undewestimated dewe abiwities DawkWing’ we wiww hab ouw webenge. An dah Gwandmastah am busy buh hey if ‘ou am goin’ to act wike dis ‘ou nu hab to fowwow me an’ just be executed.” I start to follow Master Horse and spoke “Otay’ fine!” he looks at one of the prison guards and speaks “DawkWing’ died by suicide an’ if ‘ou ebah mention what happend hewe ‘ou an’ am entiwe famiwy wiww be kiwwed!. The prison guard nods rapidly and as we leave I ask Master Horse a question "what am we goin’ to do! DawkWing’ hab nothin’ weft!” Master Horse responds. “Simpwe we stawt pwan B.”
